Zeke in my opinion, is without a doubt the team's best player. Highly productive, highly durable (never missed a game due to an injury). Opposing teams game plan to shut him down.

Last year was the first season, he legitimately lost the rushing title, finishing with over 1,300 yards and 12 td's. Many will argue his holdout affected his play early on, no matter, it will fuel his motivation for this upcoming season.

Zeke is the most balance RB in the entire league, he doesn't have a weakness on the field, but he has been vastly underused as a receiver by the former coaching staff. We have seen what he can do in space and he is deadly on screens passes. MM and is WCO will incorporate Zeke far more in the team's passing game. We are going to finally see the Zeke Elliot at his full potential. He has a LaDanian Tomlinson type of ceiling as an all-around back. The return of the zbs and a new RB coach who oversaw Gurley's success in it, will only help Zeke get better. In my opinion, he is going to have a monster season!!

Zeke is not the back he used to be. I was shocked how good he was early in his career. I felt he could have been the best football player on the planet. He is still a solid NFL player but not nearly as explosive. Love having him on the team but as the 4th overall pick and now the second highest paid RB in the NFL he is no longer a net positive. I do not expect his game to ever improve. All we can do now is continue to watch the decline and hope that it is slow.

His touches will go down this year. So unless he gets back to breaking off some long runs, he won't even get as many yards as he did last year.

I'd be happy if he played like he did his rookie season. That would also put him in the discussion for best player on the team. Which he currently is not.

Its going to be hard to have a 'monster' year if he continues to take himself out of the game every third play. He also needs a lot of work on his quickness. Maybe take a queue from Rocky and chase chickens?

I can't see it.

MM did have a good back in Ryan Grant early on that did get 280-310 carries on back to back years. So, the run game isn't foreign to McCarthy.
However, I sort of expect to see what we saw last year offensively, but better tuned with MM here, especially on the road. No more super conservative, no flow gameplans everytime they leave Dallas.

Zeke will still get his carries and catches, but I don't think at the volume for him to be a favorite for any MVP talk.

Think we'll be a team that passes to set up the run game rather than a run first team to set up the passing game.

Only if our passing game becomes formidable!
Imagine what Zeke could add to our offense if the defense had to deal with a strong arm back there?
Mama mia we would be unstoppable!!

I honestly won’t be surprised by anything. Dominating or falling off a cliff or simply good

Zeke has declined since his big pay day. I don't see him having an MVP season. Nor do I think he's "the team's best player". There's no such thing unless one player is the "best" at all positions.
I think his holdout really hurt his performance last year especially early on in the season. He’ll have a full training camp this year so I’m expecting a better performance from him.

Let's just hope it isn't as bad as the decline of Eddie George or at least later on in his career, right now he is still a pretty good RB.

I dont see how this team plays well enough to have one of its players win the MVP without it being Prescott.

So, maybe if Prescott never shows up, the offense is geared almost exclusively around 21, he is in the shape of his life, and cares about football more than being a celebrity....and the team goes 13-3...he would have half a shot at the award.

IMO he is going to have to do that in each of the next two seasons to justify being here at 15M for 2022.

Great...……..name one game last year we won because of Zeke and his unstoppable dominance.

Dak is the best player and MVP of team. If you are looking at it objectively. Zeke is probably top 7 at this position I can agree on that.

Basically, it would have to be a repeat of the 2016(2014 offense as well) offense + more yards and TDs where we used the ground game as our best defense. Add in the offensive line was in it's prime those two years, it'll be hard to repeat those performances.

Unless he seriously fixes his sudden bad case of the dropsies from 2019, and gets in much better running shape (plus lose some weight), I don't see Zeke coming close to having an MVP type of season, especially under Coach Mike McCarthy and his pro-QB passing system.
