The deal will not get done. Dak will have to play on the tag this year and then the divorce will begin as Dak will be allowed to shop next year and we will get picks to replace him. I just hope
Jerry never gives in to him like he did Zeke. What a waste of money that was.

By the way, do you know how many playoff wins Payton Manning had in his 1st 4 years? ZERO. He didn't get his 1st playoff win until his 6th season.

That's the entire basis of his show. He has no strong knowledge of … well … anything related to sports, but he attracts viewers/listeners because there is a significant enough percentage of sports fans who are drawn to drama and theatrics and speculation and conspiracy theories etc … I wish that weren't true, but unfortunately it is.

People here are trying to take Skip at face value and not understanding what he is doing so it makes no sense. When Skip is wrong he needs to have some boogieman to blame for what happened. When his team loses its always that blown call that changed everything (oddly enough those blown calls do not matter when his team wins), and then when the appeal of that one moment wears off he can turn to saying that the only thing holding back the thing he is a fan of is this one problem. For the Cowboys that problem was Jason Garrett, who he would call a problem every year but still pick them to be in the Super Bowl every year.

However, with Garrett gone he now needs a new excuse. Enter Dak's contract. Now anytime the Cowboys lose, he can turn and blame Dak's contract as opposed to not being able to draft good players. Its the fact that Dak is making 3-5m more per year than Skip expected that is the real blight. That is the new great evil that blights the Cowboys. If only they had the subpar QB play that the Texans had for the first part of last decade, or that the Browns have had for 20 years, then the Cowboys could sign 2 defenders, on the caliber of what the Texans had, and take that next step, like the Texans..... oh wait. Either way that is the argument that Skip will put forth.

Agree. I hope you are right and jerry holds. Dak has shown unbelievale immaturity and greed during this trying times. He should have been grateful getting the chances and offers at the cowboys .

I can't watch any if those shows for at least a month now. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel for topics. Now they all go in on politics, and it is sickening! Sports is supposed to be the "get-away" not CNN or CNBC. Skip is not a real Cowboys fan period he is a joke.
