I hate to put a jinx on the situation but we need to wait and see who the injury bug will affect. Someone always gets dinged up. Preseason and TC takes care of that. Hopefully nobody gets injured and the coaching staff have several guys to choose from....hopefully.

Lewis and hopefully Diggs... Lewis is the only guy to get picks. I can imagine him getting even more under Nolan. Now he might get beat some more with playing more aggressively, but if he gets more picks I'll take it..

Jourdan Lewis was a better outside corner than Chido in 2017. Lewis and Diggs should start let AB and Chido fight for spot 3. Mentally this coaching staff change will be huge for J Lew. Since Richard benched him as soon as he got here because of his height. Even though he outplayed chido their rookie season. Let's hope this coaching staff isn't as dumb. Being around football for so long I never understood coaches actually caring about size instead of a guy being a football player.

Other than 2nd and 4th round picks, guys like Worley and Smith are bigger guys.

Not sure about guys like Canady, etc...

Seems they are pretty serious about the transition.

I dont see 24 or 27 back next year.
All the corners they brought in are 6ft 1 and weigh almost exactly the same. Includes free agents and drafted players

Lewis had 2 picks last season........ and that's with getting burned multiple times in just about every game. I like Lewis too but most of you guys talk like he is the best corner on the team and a lock down corner at that. Clearly overrated by some of the fans, however if this coaching staff does keep him I believe he will improve greatly.

Well lets hope it works out one way or another as this group is it for the next two seasons.

I completely disagree, Lewis isn't even better than Brown in the slot. Lewis is better than Brown on the outside though.
I never liked lewis in the slot after how good he was on the outside the back half of 2017. Lewis was better than chido that year. Im sure his coaching staff taking a dump on him due to his height could mentally effect your gameplay. Especially at a position where confidence is key.

I disagree with Lewis being better than Awuzie but everything else you are spot on.

The two guys getting the most snaps and drawing the top two threats

I think the team would like Awuzie/Diggs starting in the base. If Diggs isn't ready Worley would hold the spot down. Awuzie will most likely play as a nickel safety where the likes of Worley/Brown could replace him on the outside.

I think this year they are looking at Diggs & Worley as the starters with Robinson learning behind Worley (bridge player) Re-signing Brown to a 3yr $15.5 deal signals they like him and slot makes the most sense to me. All the talk about Awuzie playing safety is about trying to find him a spot on the field, nickel/dime safety would makes sense. I think Lewis could be a trade or cut since he doesn't really fit what Al Harris is looking for in a CB. He could change his mind in camp but odds are against him imo. Canaday could be a replacement for CJ Goodwin. He can actually play well at CB while still being a STs contributor.

Chido and Diggs. Can't see them moving a 3 year starting CB to safety given how thin that group already is, and Diggs is better outside than Lewis and Canady.

I think your starters are Worley, Lewis, and Brown for at least the first 2 or 3 games. I think Diggs will be eased in. Robinson i doubt sees more then special teams play unless he goes off in training camp and pre season. I think he still pretty raw, but with all the tools to be something special.
