I will not debate the psychology of humans over the internet let alone on a sports forum. Who is thwarting who? really? Very childish and superficial direction....and I won't have it.
If you do not understand the concept of the fundamentals of playing guitar...then we don't have very much common ground to have any conversation here. Music theory and knowledge of the guitar basics....are a science. I'm not a metal guitar player, not blues, not lead or rhythm...I am a guitar player in all and every aspects.... with SOME teaching experience...by request. I have also played bass in bands, play drums and trumpet and I also record and run live sound. You could play anything you want....and I can tell. It most certainly is NOT "arbitrary". Personal taste.. what you listen to or play...is, surely. But I don;t worry about such non sense. If you are good then you are good and there are telltales.
So...I am going to disagree with you WHOLE HEARTEDLY and with prejudice...but with decades of knowledge and experience.
In regards to our team...I find common ground. I hold hope and excitement that much of our previous ills are coaching. I have said that anyone who makes MM's roster has a free pass this season. I'm going to give them a chance to be coached by a super bowl winning coach and his staff. But then I admit I am not an NFL expert like I am guitar. So....just another homer opinion there.
First off, you perhaps need to get a sense of humor. My comment was more for Risen than you. Hence why I copied his post in the reply. Your post just piggy backed that response.
Second is I do not need a lecture on this team, nor the guitar. Your comment of pretty good leaves me cold since there is nothing finite about it. In this world there are pickers all across this country who never made it for one reason or another, but were/are wizards of the fret board and the concepts which govern it. The real tragedy is there are some who should have broken through, but didn't. They are in their 50's, 60's, and some in their 70's. They have no savings, hardly any Social Security, and the door is closing rapidly for gigs because, for the most part music is a young man's game. Pretty girls don't go to venues when the players have grand kids. No butts in seats, No Grandpa's on the stage.
And yet their playing is so sublime it's a joy to watch them take a six string to a spot few can go. But I guess that's because I have always appreciated true artists. However all those boys around Dallas who fit this definition, pretty good could maybe get you a job as the guitar tech with them. So this is tomato and tomato. Leave it at that.
Last point. My initial post in this thread was to start a conversation and get away from the boot licking of Lamb. Not that I am not thrilled he was drafted and cheered that on for an hour before the Dallas pick. To maybe engage people in some football talk and not the love hate responses which seem to be the soup de jour around here.
What did I find. Some stranger I have never seen on this board reaming me about an article I mention and its age.
I don't need your resume.
And I damn sure don't give a rat's wrinkle about your soap box and lectures.
You assumed something about me because of my first post. About my attitude of this team. Don't do that.
