Give me a wide receiver from the NFC East outside Dallas who could break into the Cowboys’ top three receivers?

I'd start Desean Jackson over Gallup in Dallas' offense. Also I'd trade Gallup for Terry Mcclarin

Terry McLaurin is a good answer.
Thought he was going to have a great rookie year till they forced Haskins to finish the year. He was force fed but delivered early on.

NO and Maybe.
Gallup has proven himself for 2 years now. McLaurin has had 1 year with not so good QB play. However he and Haskins has history and chemistry from OSU.
Let's see him in his 2nd year. How teams defend him and if he has a sophomore slump. That is why I say "maybe" but the potential is there for him to be pretty dang good as a #1 WR.

I do like McLaurin though. But why did the Commanders have to draft him. He's a Buckeye, and now on the enemy.

I do think Golden Tate would play the slot better than any of our WRs except Cooper.

Terry McLaurin is pretty decent. Can't really argue there. Desean Jackson, I don't know why anybody would want that guy over Gallup, at this point.

Jackson hasn't posted more then 4 TDs in any season since 2014. Hasn't caught more then 56 balls since 2014. Hasn't played an injury free season in which he's started 16 games since 2013 and that's the only one he's ever had. Jackson is going into his 13th season at WR and last year, he played in 3 games, posted 9 rec, 159 yds and 2 TDs.

I can't say he's better then Gallup at this point in his career.

My guess is they are thinking of Jackson from 5 years ago. The current Jackson is in no way better than Gallup.

For those curious

Dallas
Cooper, Gallup, Lamb (R)

Philly
Jackson, Reagor (R), Jeffrey

New York
Tate, Shepard, Slayton

Washington
McLaurin, Sims, Gandy-Golden (R)

Of course, we are projecting with the rookies like Reagor and Lamb.
I'd say, day 1(but maybe not in a year) McLaurin would be our 2nd best WR. 3rd at worst.
After that, most of the better players are old now.

DeSean Jackson is always hurt and cannot be counted on. No way I'd trade Gallup for him.

Terry McLaurin is good, but something about him being a Commander makes me feel like he’s not going to last.
