Mahomes was their leading rusher and it was almost exclusively on passing plays.

He does not need a running game. They literally scored 5 TDs in a row without even trying to run.
Rushing is rushing doesn't matter who it is the defense must account for it. We can just agree to disagree.

Did you know Dak is better against teams with a winning record than Romo?
No.

But Romo does not enter in here.

We are taking about Dak.

My statement still stands.

But everybody places different emphasis on what makes sense to them.

Whatever.

I am worn out about all this Dak/Cowboys discussion.

Has no interest anymore to me.

I'm in the pay Dak 35 per year crowd. Not a penny more. If he agees to that, you go with Dak. If not, go with Dalton for the short run and draft a QB. Franchise tag Dak and trade him if possible. But I think he'll agree to that 35.

and thus is the question. do you part ways with a proven QB that is sure to improve with new coaching staff, specially a head coach who has shown he can do some magic with QBs of limited talent.

or do you go chasing for the next 5 years with a low probability of hitting on one, wasting the talent you already have and signed...

if we are to go chasing a QB in the draft, then top 10 is where you want to pick....and thus we need to suck and suck bad and grind our teeth and wait it out....but with the players on the roster and players we signed, sucking is going to take some bad coaching, perhaps if we kept garrett we might have accomplished that :)thumbdown:).....

so given the current situation....draft is not the answer, although I am not opposed to drafting QBs with some upside and develop them, ala DaNucci…..and if he doesn't work out, you draft another one...
I think it's obvious that keeping Dak is the plan, and probably the right choice. I just wish the Jones' would just give the deal needed. They know they'll cave un the end. If he plays on the tag, I think that's a sign he won't here in three years.

I heard a while back that no QB that's ever played on a franchise tag has resigned with their current team.
I could be wrong. Ill let you crack researchers verify or shoot that down.

But you have no actual evidence to back up your statement. Its honestly getting irritating dealing with inbred idiots on here that provide nothing.
