I remember wanting Poe in the first round in that draft and the Panthers selecting him
Then I remember wanting Kwann Short in the 2nd round and the Panthers selecting him.

Coveted him in that draft, but our Dline coach loved quick twitch guys that weighed 300 and under. I never got that. It was fine when Olineman weighed 310. Now they weigh 330.

We got a perfectly serviceable interior D-line for 8m and a 3rd round pick. Poe, McCoy and Gallimore are exactly what we should be doing if we don’t want to spend big money or draft capital on the position.

Don't have high hopes for the dts. Hopefully they suprise me

They’ve been pretty consistent throughout their careers. You can be pretty sure McCoy will get 5+ sacks and play the run well. Poe will get 1-tech sack numbers (2-3) and command double teams.

I’m not looking for surprises, I just want them to do a job. That’s something that hasn’t consistently happened for a long time.
