All their streams are way too long for me and this one is no different being 3 hrs. Any specific times we should listen or was Broaddus on for the entire show?

I usually don’t respond to anything, but I decided to do a recap since no one had done one and I thought that even though it was BB’s take, there was a lot of information here that wasn’t just the same stuff everybody is stuck taking about. Also, BB jumped around a little bit, so I moved some stuff around to fit it better here.

~13 minutes: Mostly introducing BB to the listeners

Ran through his past as a scout for Dallas, philly, and GB. Discussed his time at DC.com and had praise for just about everyone he worked with, except for Mickey. (No, he didn’t say anything bad about Mickey)

BB was asked who was his favorite player he helped hire. He said it was La’Roi Glover. BB had connections with the Saints that said Glover would still perform on the field and would be a great leader for the team.

BB said he always took notes in meetings so that he had record for who said what. Once, Parcells kicked him out of a team meeting for taking notes.

20:15 Previous coaching staff

BB said he’d been on the Get Rid of Garrett bandwagon for 3 years. BB felt that Garrett would always find a way to give away 1-2 games a year. Garrett was too conservative and predictable, and his players played that way too. He also said that Mickey told him that he needed to calm down with his Garrett stuff or he’d get fired.

BB thought it was odd that Marinelli always said that he preferred to coach the orphans, but in Tampa he always had high draft picks.

BB said that it was time to move on when the secondary and LBs were doing their own things. He was also tired of the Cliché signage (ie. “Finish the Fight”).

31:55 2020 Draft

He and his colleagues were sure the draft would focus on the D side of the ball and never imagines CeeDee being the pick. During the draft, they noted that CeeDee was the BPA and that instead the Cowboys would take a Defender. But they were pleasantly surprised when CeeDee was the pick.

He really liked the draft. Again with his colleagues, they determined that if all the good Defenders were wiped out before the Cowboys picked in the 1st round, that Diggs would be the pick. BB thinks that Diggs could be a Day 1 starter. He thinks that the pick of Gallimore can go either way. And he likes the Bad-*** pick. BB thinks the CB Robertson has great length and goes after the ball, great pick.

36:20 Previous Picks

BB thinks previous high draft picks will have a tough time with this new coaching staff. Many needed the offseason to develop in the weight room and work on their opportunities from last year, but Covid-19 blocked that. The hosts immediately started asking about Tristan Hill. BB said that Hill no longer had his sponsor (Rod) from the previous season. Hill showed that he didn’t care and was immature, so Rod stopped coaching him last year.

43:45 McCoy and Poe discussion.

BB is hopeful that McCoy can regain some of his previous performance. He thought McCoy had lost a ½ step and thought it might be because of extra weight he put on. BB was happy with the Poe signing, thinks Poe is still very had to move.

45:40 OL Discussion

BB thinks the Cowboys want one of the young guys to win the Center position battle. Looney is a good back up, has done better than expected when pressed into action, and has improved each year, but BB thinks the team would rather trade him away if possible.

The hosts were wanting him to mention Brandon Knight for the Center spot, but BB said the only reason Knight made the 53 was because he had Columbo in his corner.

BB said that Mitch Hyatt is one of those guys that needed the offseason in the weight room, because he had no power last year.

~50:00 The hosts asked BB about a Sleeper for the year

BB thinks Saivion Smith has a chance at CB. He reasoned that Nick Saban is the secondary coach at Alabama, so the guy is well coached. He mentioned that the guy moved well.

He also mentioned that Chris Westry is the opposite of Smith, stating that Westry is too long.

51:30 Other Free Agents

Thinks that neither Clinton-Dix, nor Woods are comfortable playing down in the box. Worley or a converted CB may be better suited for that position

55:30 Jourdan Lewis

Says Richard didn’t like him because of his size, but BB loves Lewis because he competes.

~57:00 Defender Questions

Tyrone Crawford: Doesn’t see the Cowboys moving away from him. His contract is up in a year. BB is a fan of what Crawford. Thinks TC does a great job of creating holes for DeMarcus Lawrence. Additionally, TC is a leader in the locker room and is one of a few that holds the Defense accountable.

LVE: Thinks he will be back 100%

Jaylon Smith: Needs coaching to keep him from playing “Hero Ball”

Aldon Smith: Amazed by the signing. Thinks that it will be worth it if the Cowboys can get 70% of what he used to be.

Everson Griffin: Thinks that Covid-19 is keeping all teams from meeting with him, so no deal yet. The same for rookie deals.

1:11:00 Dak Contract

BB thinks Prescott wants to be a Free Agents ASAP. He thinks there’s a 60% chance Dak plays on the tag.

1:21:00 The hosts ended the interview with BB and started taking phone calls.

I guess I didn't write it correctly.
BB said Dak wants a short deal so that he can go into Free Agency again and get a new contract quicker.
He didn't say Dak wants to be a free agent to go to a new team.
ASAP does mean as soon as possible. So you really weren't that off

I was listening to the fan while making dinner tonight and Mike Fisher was on and him and Broaddus were going back and forth about Jerry and Dak. I didn't catch the beginning of it but Mike Fisher was insisting Bryan was wrong and they made a bet about it.

apparently from what I understood Bryan was claiming he was told that Jerry is not sold on Dak and he made that clear last year to some people towards the end of the season and that is part of the hangup with the contract. Don't jump me for this I am just telling you what these guys were talking about. Personally I do not believe that.

also I love that Bryan is still bitter about Parcells firing him and every once in a while he will throw these things out there to try and make Bill look bad. Cracks me up.

Interesting about Knight. Thought he played well all things considered.

Think he showed enough last year to be given a good look early on in tc
