They did build that one loop and talk about the definitive "middle of nowhere", first time we took that coming in form Dallas, I wondered if we were going to Florida. It finally began to curve and come back in. Denton did the same thing and the locals refuse to use it because there's nothing on the loop.

It's one thing to keep it weird, they've displayed that so much that people want to move there or not leave when they graduate college. And they wear that being different from the rest of the state with pride.

I agree. I have a friend that just picked up and moved to Virginia. Covid 19 wasn't a factor at the time but he and his wife are not working because of it. I didn't even know he had moved until he text me last night, but it was obvious to me that they were not prepared to be out of work.

You and your wife both have jobs right now. Take a week or two off and go hang out in the area you THINK you want to live. Personally, l can't handle the humidity there. I love to visit my friends there, but it's not for me...

I lived in Arlington for about five years during junior high and most of my high school years (1989-1994).

I always tell people Arlington is a great place to raise a family (at least it was 25-30 years ago). Home prices are still ridiculously cheap. The house I lived in down there will likely be the nicest/largest home I’ll ever live in. I live in Palo Alto (Calif.) now and our home and lot is 1/3 of the size.

The heat does suck. No way to get around it. I never witnessed a tornado but plenty of flooding, hail, black ice, et cetera.

I had to go to OK to get a tornado, wasn't worth then trip.
