I've seen plays where 54 looks like he is on ice skates.

However, I don't see another line of sunglasses from an NFL linebacker that measures up to his.

What a player!

His story should be the injury he overcame. Instead its dressing like a moron and playing like crap.

Wolf Hunter is just a blank.
What does that mean? I've never heard that expression used before when describing a football player.

He was darn good before his injury and now back healthy and ready to go he will be darn good again.

Lee actually was a huge bright spot.

But yeah..

It was with how the star duo of Wolf Hunter and Jaylon Smith had been such a factor in 2018.

2019 was a disaster.

If you really paid attention to how 2018 ended..

both Jaylon and Wolf Hunter were not playing at the levels they had in early 2018

So there is somemore to address at LB given Lee's injury history and Wolf Hunter is just a blank.

Depending on what and when with the players getting back to the Star and getting doctor attention and followup..

we just do not know.
Agreed, Lee was remarkable, especially considering how much he had to compensate for.

Not buying the hype again this year. Was pumped about our LB corps last year and was extremely disappointed.
Were you hype about Kris Richard? Probably not and he is gone because he was coaching as if he was in the 80's. Our LBs will be great like Kellogs

No question this will be a area of strength for the Cowboys. Getting LVE back and in the middle will be HUGE. Jaylon going back outside where he belongs and with better coaches will be a welcome sight. Lee is The General. He might have lost a step, but he's still the smartest guy on the field. Thomas is vastly underrated.

With the improved DL this group is ready to shine. A new defensive approach from the new coaches will help also. There is a reason the Cowboys did not draft any LB's in April. This is a strong group and I expect to see them flying all over the field making plays this year.

Lee is past his prime and injury prone. He has slowed down so much, any year could be his last from this point forward. Smith is average and is getting paid like a top flight LB. Our other presumed starting LB is also injury prone and cannot be counted on to play the entire year.

While this may be true, I believe there should be interviews with several players talking about "which player they want to face the least or gives them the most trouble". Not sure anyone in the league on offense loses sleep over Jaylon Smith or LVE at this point.

Fine music video, but the premise is false.

Lee "quick"? He wasn't quick when he was young. He's less quick now.
Jaylon probably still has straight line speed, but his agility is crap. Even without clear leg issues, he went from athletic to lumbering, and with the *increasing* leg issues, he's hobbled, often unable to break down and cut.
LVE is very quick and agile *for his size*.

Are they even top 5 for quickness for 4-3 defenses? I doubt it.
Lee is most definitely quick. Top end may be lacking, but you can't be slow and always be around the ball

It's already showing us that when these guys get their big paydays they can just can as easily regress as live up to their new deals.

Jaylon Smith?

Regression.

Zeke?

Regression.

Witten?

Regression

And others to one level or another.

So we shall see with Cooper, Dak and whomever.

I was surprised we did not draft or sign a LBer at all given the uncertainty.

There is still Clay Matthew's available I think who can play any position and while young is better..

We need more than what we have.

Lee is a boss and has consistently outplayed his contract for years. Prepares like a winner. Draft more of these please.

Jaylon is the poster boy for the problems this franchise has had for the last 20 years. Drafted too high. Gets to play even though not ready. Shows flashes for 1 year and gets massive deal. Disappears.

LVE is still on a rookie deal and needs to bounce back.

LVE'S return to rookie season performance is iffy at the present time given his neck condition.
Jaylon seriously regressed last year. troublesome.
Lee is as quick as ever to recognize a play, but a step or two slower being able to get to it and stop it.
to me, lb is the area of most concern. some new faces need to step it up.

Whomever posted Health is right. That's pretty key. Our LBs are kinda fragile so the addition of bigger, stronger DTs is pretty key but here is the thing, they are both older. So here's the key, and it's not the LBs necessarily, it's the DTs staying healthy. That's the key to the Defense this year. Defensive Backfield is going to take some time to get on the same page, LBs are very fast but they are not very physical, DEs are ...... we don't know yet. DLaw got paid and went peace out, Quinn is gone and we aren't exactly sure who or what we have on the other side. DT is the lynch pin to everything on the Defensive side of the ball. If they can play well, this Defense can be pretty good. If they don't hold up, I think it's going to be another long year Defensively.
