Saints 09

Seahawks 14

Lions 14

Steelers 16

Philly 18

You nailed the first two but number three on that list would be the playoff win over Philly in 2009. That was the first playoff win for the Cowboys in 13 years. That was the longest drought the Cowboys have ever had without a playoff win.

Win over Philly and NYG in back to back weeks in 05.
Win over Colts and at NYG in 06.
Win over TB Turkey day 06.
Win over NYG home and away in 07.
Win over GB in 07.
Win over Buffalo in 07.
Win over Philly mnf in 08.
Win over Seattle Turkey day 08.
Win over NYG SNF final win at texas stadium in 08.
Win at saints in 09.
Win at KC in 09.
Wins vs Philly in 09, week 17 and WC week.
Win at SF in 2011.
Win over Pittsburgh 2012
Win at Cincy 2012
Win at washington 2013.
Win over saints, texans and colts at home in 14
Wins at Seattle, Philly, NYG and Chicago in 14.
Win over Detroit in 14 wild card game.
Win over NYG opening night in 2015.
Win over GB and Pittsburgh in 2016.
Win over saints in 2018.
Win over eagles in 2018.
Win over seattle in 2018 wc game.

Emotionally my favorite is the win over the Giants in the meadowlands in december 2006.
The most important win was the wild card win over the eagles in 2009 to break the playoff slump.
The most thorough win was either tampa bay in 06 or indy in 14.

The most special win was that 2011 game at SF.

Favorite game from the last few years is the 2014 win in Seattle. The OL manhandled Seattle's DL, Murray trucked the defenders, defense played solid and Romo was clutch.

Next would be 2016 win at Pittsburgh.

The come from behind win vs Buffalo (2007?), that was such an exciting game. It was one of the first times I felt like I was seeing a reincarnation of Staubach. Number 12 made a game feel like it was almost never out of reach, it felt like that so many times watching Romo. It’s a shame he never had a competent GM or HC.

The GM said he didn’t need to waste cap space on the OL (or words to that effect) because Romo could scramble...I always wondered why he didn’t he realize that’s why he was always having to scramble?

This game right here without a doubt has to be one of the best Dallas Cowboys games during the last 20 years. Easily.

A young Cowboys team led by two rookies (QB & RB) against a Super Bowl proven veteran Steelers team. The whole game, both teams were throwing big blows at each other. In the end, the Cowboys came back and pulled a win with 15 seconds left for their 8th win in a row. He'll of a game!

I was actually there, beautiful thing to watch, that Romo to T Will on 3rd and 20 was a thing of beauty, that has to be on the Cowboys top 5 plays in the last 20 years as well.

Like everybody..
we are all starving for winning football again.
Youtube popped this game up on a search and I started watching.
It was our win against the Saints on a Thursday Night Game in 2018.

I watched at what we did right against what was at the time the best team in the NFL.
I saw Dak play well.
Zeke was a Zeke we have not seen in awhile.
Cooper was killing it.
And this game by itself convinced us all we had what it takes.
But what other games would you guys add and why in your opinion do you point to it as a marker game for us?
Everybody seems to want to compare fantasy coaching staffs to other staffs..
coaches against couches..
I want something we can all see and point to and discuss it as it regards the team going forward.
Kill some time and enjoy some football that mattered.
Over to you.

All of them that they won.

Week 17 vs Philly 2009

24-0

They completely dominated a playoff team in a must win game for Dallas.

They won the NFC East with that game and the following week they played again in Dallas for the wildcard game and won again.

Yeah both were equally impressive. I chose the play-in game because of what happened the previous season under identical circumstances when Philly spanked us.
It wasn’t a play-in game In week 17 of 2009. Both teams had already clinched playoff spots and they were already slated to play each other the following week in the Wild Card round. They were playing to decide home field advantage because the winner won the division and the loser was the wild card team.

Not trying to take away from the win, just want to clear up what was at stake in the final week of 2009. In 2008, week 17 against Philly was an elimination game for both teams.

The 2014 Seattle game, at Seattle. The offensive line just wore them out. As I said right after the game: Dallas went to Seattle and out-bullied the bullies.

By the end of that game, The Seattle defense wanted no part of that Dallas running game.

That, along with the 2016 Pittsburgh game are at the very top.

Over to you.

The Defense in that game was awesome. Also last season left a lot to be desired but towards the end of the year we dismantled the rams. That was sweet. But over 20 years I will have to think about that. So many great games and gusty performances.

That steelers game was sweet. Elliot on those last 2 TDs. Thought there coach was gonna explode on the last TD. Elliot broke through and no one home. It looked like they were worn down.
