The answer is no because no fan on this sight owns the cowboys or any other nfl team
You having trouble w/ those hypothetical questions? They're not really all that hard. Just use your brain a little bit and you'll find the trouble you're having will disappear!!!!!

Facts are what I deal with. If a frog had wings would he bump his rear when he jumped across the road. None of us own the cowboys or any other nfl team. Fact.

What we are hearing is it’s the length. Not the actual money. This is not a extension but a new contract. We should have tried harder last year to make it a extension so the money could be spread out another year as far as how it effects the salary cap and the bonus money he will get up front. I see 4 years 140 million. Maybe 105 guaranteed but not sure about the signing bonus, maybe 20 up front. I think the most given in guaranteed was 100 million but could be wrong. But what ever the most guaranteed money was JJ will throw in a couple of million more and get it done. He will be the highest paid QB for a minute. When mahomes gets done it will blow Daks contract up..

I like the idea of 35 mil per year but I'd almost bet the FO will agree to 4 years instead of 5. $45 mil for the 5th year likely wouldn't appeal to them, though. Perhaps they'll find a way to compromise in some manner on that last year if they're really intent upon getting it done. I don't doubt that Mahomes contract may cause Dak's to look paltry but his talent level deserves being the highest in the league, imho. He seems at a higher level than anyone to me.

Here's hoping the Cowboys and Dak manage to get an agreement worked out. For sure, I'd really hate to see their efforts cause ongoing resentment. For whatever the reason, the Dallas FO loves to drag it out 'til the last day. I imagine they believe it causes the contract recipient to get desperate and settle for less. So far that hasn't been too successful, judging by their past attempts. ;)

Absolutely. Now, what does that have to do w/ understanding a hypothetical question?

Fact: The question posed is a hypothetical, and has no bearing at all on owning the Cowboys or how much money one has. Those are completely irrelevant items.

Anyone? I definitely wouldn’t and I haven’t heard anyone else say they would.

Would anyone?
How many years. What’s the bonus. I’d have to look at the entire contract before I could answer

I wouldnt even consider it.. He's not even worth what the franchise tag pays him. I would've gave Dak an ultimatum before the draft to sign the current deal on the table or kick rocks and drafted Jordan Love. This team isn't winning a championship with a QB taking up 13% of the cap and no elite defense anyway.

I don't know where this 40 million keeps coming from. No one in the organization has even hinted on it.

Exactly

Yes and no. Dak was off and on last year. He was great, and he was terrible. Consistency still escapes him at this point.
Oh enough of the sauce there Ksk.....He was great against DOG TEAMS and in Garbage time when the battle was lost.
When we had to face good defenses he stunk up the house and this is the standard 3 years running.
Do you want to win man or do you want Dak at QB .....????
I'll go with winning.....

Maybe because he turned down 35?

JJ is going to have to pay him as much or more than the last starting QB. That’s the market price. If lobster is 35 bucks market price at a restaurant and you go in and sit down and say I will have the lobster but I ain’t paying 35 bucks then I doubt the waiter will be bringing you lobster.

And if the restaurant was asking 35 bucks for chicken strips you'd probably go to a different restaurant.

You're right. Pretty much any decent starting QB is going to command that price. But it's not just the lobster that costs 35 bucks. It's the hamburger and hotdog too.

Go look QB salaries and tell me what a decent QB costs. Then look at what Dak is asking.

I don't believe Dak, has asked for "just" 40 million. If you want honest answers, ask honest questions. What has he asked for, and what are his conditions? I wouldn't pay anyone that much including that guy in KC.

You can’t even answer a simple question. If I complicate it, you will definitely get confused.

I would not pay Dak 40 mil per season. I wouldn't pay him 35 mil per season either.
Dak needs to see what it's like to play for a crappy team that lacks an offensive line and no star RB or WR. Then you would find out his true worth. Next man up doesn't apply to Dak. That is for the top 5 QBs.

If a frog had common sense would it have allowed a scorpion to hitch a ride on its back?
