A torn AT takes a year to heal and another year to gain the physical and psychological power/dexterity. Then there is no guarantee you'll be 100%. Maybe 80% at best.
BLokes, I write this from experience. I tore an AT while exploring the Steppes with me mum in 1999. I Wore a cast for 6 months and a therapy boot for 4 months.
It was no walk in the cake.

It should be noted that he tore the other Achilles in Jan 2019 and was back for the first game in Sept 2019 and was arguably one of the best, if not the best, OGs in football. So he was back in less than a year. But given he tore it just a couple of months before the season is supposed to start, he's definitely done for 2020.
The time varies. Obviously if you have 300 pounds on your frame the stress is different than say a kid weighing 100 pounds. Also, the tear? Complete tear? Partial?
