For this exercise, let's assume these guys are all in their primes...

For me I can't help but learn upon my experience..

LT - Tyrone Smith
LG - LA
C - Fredbeard
RG - The President
RT - Big Cat!!

I hope most of us can't see how this wouldn't work...

Can't wait to see the old-timer's tell me I'm stupid! Lol!

Leon Lett was referred to as "Big Cat". He was a defensive lineman.
'
Rayfield Wright was sometimes referred to as "Big Cat" but he was not better than Erik Williams.

Erik Williams was the best player at his position on the 92 and 93 Super Bowls teams that were as stacked with talent as it gets. He was probably the best player in the NFL those years and was a good those 2 years as any year by any Cowboys player...Ask John Madden.

Erik Williams shut down Reggie White and made Reggie cry on national TV. That was EW's 2nd year in the league.

The Car Wreck in 94 reduced him from super human to human but he still made All-Pro in 95 and 96 and had multiple Pro Bowl selections after the wreck.

The Cowboys lost the 94 NFC Championship because EW was out due to the wreck. Without that wreck they would have won the Super Bowl again and could have had 4 in a row.

In the post Lawrence Taylor era when the Blindside became a big focus for offenses, it's rare for a RT to get inducted into the Hall of Fame.

On a final note, Cowboys players and opponents were more afraid of Erik Williams than they were of Larry Allen according to Darren Woodson.

Hey Gimmesix, were you one of the posters on the old Fort Worth Star Cowboys board?

I actually can't remember if that's the one I posted on before coming here. It's been several years.

Thanks for pointing that out, I completely forgot about that. They had Ray Donaldson too at C, but he got injured I think. Then Kennard took over?

I remember the gag inducing sight of Kennard’s six-inch-wide butt crack sweat stain before virtually every play. Distracting....

I win

I couldn’t top this. Erik Williams might be the most underrated player of all time. He regularly mauled all time greats. Bruce Smith and Reggie White got destroyed by him. Who in history could do that to those great players?

The difference between the two is while Larry asserted his dominance, he was not a mean player. On the other hand, EWill was a nasty SOB who could and would physically dominate his matchup. And then tell you he owns you.

Haha. Several times! I almost put Erik Williams but what changed my mind was his only being effective about 4 years. After the wreck, he was a shell of what he had been. Collins is still getting better IMO.

Rayfield Wright was the original Big Cat. I saw him speak in public back in his player days and he was introduced as “The Big Cat” by a teammate. I even heard Tom Landry call him that. He was the Big Cat and not just occasionally.

Just my opinion, but Rayfield Wright was better than Erik Williams. I loved Erik Williams, but he was only effective for a few years. Williams was a great run blocker and very good pass blocker. Wright was great at both. And for a decade as opposed to 4 years. I don’t want to diminish how good Erik Williams was. But I saw both play in person. “Big Cat” Wright is in the HOF for an outstanding and dominant career that Erik Williams unfortunately could not match because of his car wreck.
