I like him wearing #88. Apparently he has an outstanding work ethic already and this can only allow him to practice his trade even more.

I don’t particularly care one way or the other. He’s so good that he’s going to do justice to whatever number he wears.

He’s talented, works hard, loves to play football, and is driven. He cares and wants to be great. The guy is going to pop big-time, and he’s going to do it early, IMO. Even with this strange offseason, I think he’ll hit the ground running.

More interested in seeing him play and produce than the number on his jersey. Now that he is wearing 88 I hope he can live up to the same HOF play of those who wore it before him.

the number is only meaningful when it's retired. otherwise it doesn't really honor anyone. a symbolic gesture at best.

I am kool with either. Glad he accepted 88. He wouldn’t have asked for the number. Let’s see him live up to it. I think if he is the real deal he will get a contract. Then either Cooper gets paid out and stays or Gallup takes #2 money and Coop goes. I think we may try to trade Cooper after Gallup is due. Take what we get. Is this Gallup’s last year or does he have another year. If Gallup has 2 years left then Coops guaranteed money should be paid up.

Just to be a turd...I say he goes with 18 So he can have the one from 10 and the 8 from 88. Or 80.
I don't think J Johnson or Blake Bell would mind.

I'd rather have them retire 88, or only allow it *after* a player *earns* it by being named All Pro.

Handing it to Dez was wrong, and I said so at the time. Arguably one of Dez's problems was being anointed into the company of Pearson and Irvin, like his gold jacket was inevitable.

Best thing would be for CD himself to say he won't take #88 until he's named All Pro. A WR with some humility. Wouldn't that be refreshing?

I'd rather he wear 10. I don't like the 88 being overused like that.

And as for the poll.......what? You didn't give us a 10 or 88, you gave us a yes or no.
