Don't have all the details. Just saw it pop up on my FB feed from some Eagles buddies.
Well, in the words of Brautich, before the sad war on stalingrad: Um, sausage eating Valkerettes, freeze ein schnow. "

I was there that day. Promised my girlfriend an authentic cheesesteak after the game. Was so disgusted that we got McDonalds on I-95 an hour outside of Philly instead. To this day, she’s never had one.
Burbs guy.
Would it wound you to take that parcel of nature's best to Turtle Park? She deserves it.

ugh... I wish him a speedy recovery. Regardless of my resentment towards the Eagles, I don't hate on any particular player.

Especially that kind of luck for an elite athlete...2 Achilles in 2 years, just BRUTAL.

It should be noted that he tore the other Achilles in Jan 2019 and was back for the first game in Sept 2019 and was arguably one of the best, if not the best, OGs in football. So he was back in less than a year. But given he tore it just a couple of months before the season is supposed to start, he's definitely done for 2020.

Good info. That's an impressive recovery time.

The surgery on that has improved from what it was a decade ago. Too bad the surgery techniques were not as evolved when PUP blew his Achilles. He was never close tot he same player.

So very true, achilles surgeries have advanced, but still have a much more significant recovery time as opposed to ACL tears, with much more advanced recovery times.
ACL injuries have become the normal in the NFL medical treatment, and players return to full strength and playing ability in half the time it took a decade ago.

So you left the game with a bad taste in your mouth and decided to fix that by another bad taste?

Time to learn how to self medicate.

He's out for the 2020 season. That's a huge blow for them as he was arguably their best OL.

He tore his other Achilles the previous season.

I am in philly area and this is crushing injury for them. Brooks was considered their best OL. I am sure the Eagles wish they had that 2nd round draft pick back to take OL.

I tore mine a little over a year ago. For normal citizens it does take a while because U don't have all the pt available to you that these guys do. I expect him to be ready by a year if he works hard at it.

What's crazy is Zach Martin barely made first team all pro last year over Brandon Brooks and Marshal Yanda (there the only 2 right guards that can even play at his level)

Neither Brooks or yanda will play in 2020........

Zack Martin literally just has to show up and play at 80% and he'll be a lock to make all pro team for the 7th straight time

holy crap!

he’s been in the league 6 years already!?

when did I get so old!?

Kind of evens us out for losing Frederick. McGovern or Biadasz might be fine alternatives, but you don't just replace an All-Pro (although replacing last year's version of Frederick will be a little easier.)

I agree mostly. But Brooks was top 5 G last year. I thought Frederick was clearly not same player.

Eagles use to have depth on that offensive line but it seems like over the past few years Howie has failed to add those gems on the line for depth.

I don't disagree with that. We haven't had All-Pro Frederick for more than two years. Still, the line was much improved from 2018 with him in the lineup. Hopefully, that bodes well for whoever replaces him.
