I just had a wonderful meal prepared for me as usual. Kind of a pasta carbonara thing. But who really likes the salad? I know I should eat it but it's rabbit food. I'm a carnivore by nature. I'm gonna guess this is the 35th thread of this nature over the years. We are Cowboy fans after all.

I just had salad as my dinner. Had salad for dinner last night too. I'm not a huge fan of veggies, but lettuce, tomato, and jalapeno stuffed olives taste pretty good with some pepperoni and a good ranch dressing.

That's not to say I wouldn't be perfectly happy eating nothing but meat for the rest of my short life.

Salad a couple of times a week, or maybe a couple of times a month, is pretty much all the vegetables I get, other than peppers on a sandwich or in my chili. It also helps clean you out. Believe me, if nutritionists decided that salad was no good for you, my heart wouldn't be broken.

Fair enough brother but answer me this. I just blatantly got rid of the salad I didn't really eat while the wife took a nap. Health benefits aside. Good husband or bad husband?

I can’t stand veggies except corn. I do like a good salad on occasion(Caesar) or my specialty chef salad. The only healthy item in it is lettuce, preferably butter type. It can’t have tomatoes either, love them as a red sauce but raw is a no-no.

I have to have bacon or diced ham, candied walnuts, various fruits like mandarin oranges, pears and/or apples. I usually add chopped eggs and salad toppers and maybe another protein too. I also add dried pineapple sometimes. The cheese......gorgonzola or parmesan usually.

Basically, it is a bit of lettuce(rabbit food) smothered with a whole lot of unhealthy goodness. I like making my own dressing with various fruit vinegars

I usually have a salad twice a week for dinner and I love it. It’s a pretty basic salad (couple heads of romaine, arugula, carrots, celery, tomatoes, croutons, avocado, onion, parsley, sunflower seeds, 2 chicken breasts shredded, about 6 boiled egg whites, and a couple whole eggs).

The abnormal thing about it is the size. I eat a lot and this is enough for a family, literally. I fill up a huge mixing bowl and have gone to eating it with a spoon to save time and effort, basically so I can shove more in my pie hole at once. I also used to use about 3/4th of a bottle of some sort of dressing but due to the calories and the fact I love vinegar, I have pretty much gone to a drizzle of olive oil with a crap load of apple cider vinegar dumped on it.

Love, love, love salad!

Salads are okay, but not as the full meal. If it is the mean, it had better be a chef salad and for lunch or something.

I like veggies though. Well, not a huge fan of zucchini, but I will eat it too. Oh, I don't like broccoli. Taste like ****. Though I can eat broccoli and cheese soup sometimes.

Avocado suck too. (I hate the texture of them) The only guacamole I can eat must have a lot of jalapenos in it. Not that I'm a huge fan of jalapenos, but as an accent flavor, they are awesome. Just don't care for them straight up. (like on nachos or something, I don't care for them)
