Check back next month when he's ecstatic to resign with the Jets on a long term deal.....

Sometimes weird stuff like this happens. A lot of times when there is smoke, there is fire.

See Jalen Ramsey last season. I think Adams could fetch two firsts but I hope Dallas isn’t the team.

He wants to be the highest paid safety in the league.

There are lots of other positions where it would be preferable to have the highest paid player in the league (assuming their skills justified it):

QB, DE, CB, WR, etc...

The notion that the Cowboys are one good safety away from the promised land is bizarre!

And don't get me started on the staggering amount of draft capital that would be required in addition to the salary cap space!

I’m sure the Jets will use the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade as a barometer, would seem fair to ask for more then that because Adams is a better player

Also, granted they wanted more than our 1st, but if we did that deal last trade deadline, no CeeDee

I bet they use Jalen Ramsey and if they stick to their guns, they could get it.

I know corners valued more than safeties but Adams still gives you two years at a bargain. I could see a general manager who feels he is just a player away talking himself into spending that capital on a player they view as a difference maker, regardless of the position.

The entire point is he wants to be paid now.

Cant deal for him unless a new contract is part of it.

Who do you want to keep that you dont think we would be able to?

The guy brings a lot to the table as far as what this defense is missing, beginning with a vocal leader and solid safety play.

If you scroll down a bit, someone says he has a handful of teams he won’t demand a new extension for. I don’t see the source. The fact that the Jets were open to trading him probably still resonates with Adams.

Ramsey was demanding a new contract too but he hasn’t even been pressuring for a new deal like he was in Jacksonville, he’s entering his 5th year now with LA.

You will lose either Gallup or Cooper in two years probably. You also probably let Lewis, Woods and Awuzi walk and go cheap on corner.
