I was disgusted when Tony Romo went to Cabo. During the playoffs. Yeah I know Jason Witten went with him. I thought Jason was a decent coach and totally lost the locker room. The last season. He needed to go. I’m not blaming Romo‘s lack of success on the coach. I’m blaming his inability to be cool in the most important games. It’s like Tom Landry said to Danny white. You don’t have a cool bone in your body
You do realize that in his last payoffs, Romo threw the game-winning TD pass in game 1. He also made the possible game-wiing throw to Dez in Game 2. Hardly a choke.
In fact he led all QBs in Playoff QB rating.

Also, in another post, you said Dak has gone further than Tony in the playoffs. He has not.

A HOF QB is able to overcome a crappy coach over the course of a decade. I’m a huge Romo fan. How can you possibly grant a QB HOF without reaching a conference championship game? You can’t. It’s completely nonsensical.

Name a Hall of Fame player who did that.

I think Romo lost his cool I think he was a choke. Every year almost every year while we had to do was be Philly beat the Giants he just couldn’t come through. Won game two games in the playoffs it’s not a career. I love Tony he was a warrior Mr. cowboy. But for me he just didn’t have it when I needed him to have it. And I could name a dozen incidences. I can explainThe Patrick Creighton. Patrick wasn’t even looking for for the football. Because Tony usually goes to his BFF. Miles Roston to the ball up in the lights. The McMurray missed a check down

You are correct Prescott has not gone further than Tony . That’s not what I was trying to explain it came out wrong.

Well Whirl, I think we can both agree that the odds are in Dak's favor to eventually QB the team to a deeper playoff run.
The table is set.

My wife was yelling at me. We’re supposed to go to the market. And all you’re doing is talking football. So I apologize if my posts were a little bit garbled. And off track. I didn’t have time to contemplate my thoughts like I usually do. Thank you for understanding

You use whatever word you want and I will use mine. It cant be stressed enough how bad Garrett was. It should never be forgotten.

Romo's career is basically known as a choke artist that couldn't win in big games that wont make the HOF. He had little to no playoff success at all when he could have had a Drew Brees type HOF career and championship.

I have no doubt Romo didn't picture that kind of a career for himself when he was dreaming of being an NFL QB.

This will always follow him........it's the first people I know mention when his name comes up. They are quick to admit he's got good stats and is the best game analyst but ......

Standards for a lot of things are being lowered, so maybe he will get in.

It's a shame, Hawk, because it really is unfair and inaccurate.
But once you do something (which he did) to get that started, every time you do it again it magnifies it 10 fold as people are already looking for it.
You could have more 4th quart comebacks than anyone else, but the narrative would ignore that completely.
Old news now though.
And no, I don't see him making the HOF

Oh hell no but I will go on record and say he's the second greatest undrafted quarterback of all time!

The only hall he’s getting in as a player is the college football hall of fame. Now if we’re talking as an announcer perhaps

Holley is supporting his boy

No

Probably only one HOF from Romo era on Cowboys. Witten. Don't count TO since wasn’t drafted by us and only played a couple seasons. Ware maybe not.

Overall compared to championship eras not enough talent Or defenses to accomplish more. History will reflect more accurately than the emotions currently attached.
