How bad was Quinn vs run

Trysten Hill does a great job at 9:13. Quinn gets washed, Jaylon gets washed, Lee has a guard on him, but Hill stops what would've been an easy big run by blowing up the center.

Expectations have never been lower but....

It would be pretty sweet if he came to camp ready, improved with a chip on their shoulder.

He doesn’t even feel like a Cowboy to me right now.

It might be a long shot, but I’m really hoping Trysten Hill takes that next step this coming season. If Tomsula is the d line coach everyone says he is, and gets the best out of his players, and the idea(don’t think it’s confirmed) of Nolan running a multiple front Defense,I think Trysten can do well. He already kinda played in a 3-4 and 4-3, and he’s got potential. Just gotta put it together

The Rams rushed for over 200 yards against us in a playoff game. Oh I know, let's bring in Robert Quinn, keep the same DT's from that ground breaking loss, and continue to stress getting after the QB.

Thanks for nothing Marinelli. You should have never been hired.

I blame the DC and his terrible scheme.

Bad. That's why you can't judge DE's by sack numbers alone.

Agreed. I have to guess that’s exactly what the Bears did too when they gave him that enormous contract.

Not only was he bad against the run, but in the pass rush he gets way too far upfield, which opened up running lanes for the quarterback.

That year when Quinn has 20+ sacks, that was the year of the 7-step drop quarterback.

he was a pass rush specialist, PERIOD. As long as you understand that and how to use him, he's great. But if you ask him to be something he isn't, you will be disappointed. He's just not a run stuffer. He gets washed out fairly easy. We now have heavy handed bigger DE'S to take over..except for Randy Gregory. Aldon Smith gives us some power off the edge. SOME GIRTH. Plus the interior looks stout.

And you have the nerve or lack of awareness to say that anyone else acts like forum police?

Check yourself fool.
The forum rule enforcement officers here have become the spare the rod officers if you have a certain ideology. But I can't get away with anything. I need not ever check myself with you around to keep me honest. Thank you.

Yep.

Play some imaginary ‘victim’ while ignorantly trying to tell other people what to talk about.

Not smart enough to realize that I guess.

You'll not read this but you get away with being a total jerk toward other posters here more than anyone else. I would have permanently booted you and your childish antics a long time ago.

Posters here either contribute or they don't, you don't.

Lie to yourself and think that you're good.

Clearly Quinn was a major liability against the run. The loss of Crawford was much bigger then many realize.

if it came down to missing Crawford that much, it's only because there was no else to resort to.
Armstrong ? Hyder ?

for better or worse, Quinn was our only consistent pure pass rusher with Dlaw having a down year.
Quinn was probably better suited as a Fred Dean type pass rush specialist. But on an overall unit that
lack consistent QB pressure, and poorly designed blitzers, we had to have Quinn's edge rush ability.

it will be interesting to see how Quinn adapts to a 3-4 type scheme with the Bears that he struggled with the Fins.
