Went down the YouTube rabbit hole and came across this video.

1st, that's a hell of a punt. 70+ yards on the fly? 2nd, that's one hell of a catch. Over the shoulder, in-stride, and smooth as can be.

Not sure why I'm posting this, but the early Dez years were intermittently very fun times.

Edit: Sorry for not being able to play the video here.

This is why I don't think we should be afraid to use Lamb as a punt returner. He'll give us the same kind of threat Dez did until he started trying to do too much on the rare occasions when we'd put him back there.

Dez could have been an all-timer as a punt returner if they let him focus on it, we're talking Dante Hall/Devin Hester level. Hester scored 7 times on his first 121 punt returns (which is insane), or about 1 in 17. Dez scored on 2 of his first 42, or 1 in 21. Similar kind of pace.

You rarely see 6'2" 220 guys playing PR, but man, Dez's strength and explosiveness was RARE.

Wow -- living proof that it helps when guys not only don't want to tackle you but can't, as well. Dez was a terror back then. :D

Too bad he wasn't able to do more of that.

I remember that game. Up 20-7 and then didn't Dallas proceed to get their ***** kicked? Some of those games against the Giants had me confused. Eli would get the ball out once he finished his drop to a WR that couldn't be more wide open. How is that even possible in that amount of time?
