Wentz, Goff, Wilson, Dlaw, Zeke, Coop, Jaylon, Collins, all got one of the below.....see Dak-Troll only TALENT gets them.....now pray they don't rescind the tag to get some defense like Adams and Griffen and build our new Doomsday with all that Dak cash saved.

IMO Dak signing the tag is him realizing that there is no long term deal that is going to happen, at least not with the terms he wants

Just keep moving that goalpost because you've got yourself in a bind. You've got nowhere else to go. Twist and turn and feel the walls close in. Fight it all you want. You're going to have to admit you've been wrong about Dak eventually. It's only a matter of time and time is growing short. :muttley:

This was just to show he’s going to camp. He’ll sign an extension by July 25th.

yeah been saying for months now he would sign tag and play on the tag. I guess jones boys could still cave, but I guess
this is just dak covering his A if you know what I mean. This way he has the 31 mil for this season no matter what.
and jones boys cannot rescind it now.
And he will play and be in TC.
This is a good thing, as they get him for this year with no long term commitment.

Of course it is still up to MM , as to which qb he uses this year?? :omg:

signing now keeps dak in control, he now has no worries, and is guaranteed 31 mil for this year.
All he has to do is play, and if he did get injured he still gets the money!
By playing on the tag a year or 2 increases his guaranteed money.

And with dalton and dinucci on the team now I am sure he wants to be in TC, and play in PS.
He knows how he got his job, and he doesnt want someone doing it to him.
He had nothing to fear with white and rush, but now with MM and these 2 new qb's, he is going to
want to be around and maintain his status as the number 1.

Last week I said that Dallas had the leverage in these negotiations.

Doesn't Prescott signing the tag show this?

Now Dallas has even more leverage because they don't have to give a long term deal because Prescott will be locked in for 2020.

These negotiations have gone on close to two years, this just means they will be stretched out another year.

Thanks guy's for another year of endless Prescott threads, hour after hour, ad nauseam.

Well, Cowboy fans, we finally have our QB. Young healthy man to lead this team. Hopefully, all this nonsense will go away now...(probably not).

In some strange way, it seems that Dak finally came to his senses...and realizes the opportunity that could come his way. Now, it's time to shine...you get that money, work it hard for your team. We been waiting a long time. Good luck...hound dog...I'll be rooting for you.

If they do, the Joneses should go bankrupt.
They already blew this deal by giving Dak the exclusive tag rather than the non-exclusive.
They could have made money on Dak potentially.

I doubt Dak ever planned to hold out, and he is probably just signing now to show he will be with his team. I’m not sure it really sways leverage either way though. I imagine neither side wants to revisit this a year from now.
