To me it says negotiations are over, he will just play on the tag, which is what I think he wanted.
he gets more guaranteed money by playing on the tag 1 or 2 years, and then signing a contract which will have more G money lol.
Dak is in full control now. He only has to avoid injury, and he needs to play well for the cowboys to want to sign him next year.
nope..he had to sign the tender in order to get to the longer term deal. THIS is very good news.

THINK about it. Why sign the tender Monday unless your pretty dang sure a longer deal is imminent? Thats the only real reason you do this. Its just a formality, a first hurdle. This BS the media kept saying was all fake. He isnt selfish and was NEVER going to not be here. I called BS immediately when ESPN started talking smack.
well because he doesnt want to negotiate any more, he is playing on the tag.
he would only get 4 mil more for this year, if he signed a contract, and maybe not even that if that money was moved to the future years.
Dak will make more playing on the tag.

Kirk Cousins saw this and that is why he played the tag 2 years, and said the tag can be your friend.

At least not what the stupid goobs are trying to celebrate with their collective ignorance.

I'm not even disagreeing! I'm just trying to correct stupidity.

He's in a no lose situation, as long as he doesn't suffer a career-ending injury.

He couldn't hold out. He forfeits the season.
This is going where it was always going.

Does he have to be physically present to sign? Maybe he was going to be in town anyway and this will keep him from having to come at the last minute if they can’t work out a deal? Anybody? Still haven’t heard anyone give a reason why he would sign earlier than he has to. To me it seems like great news... Dak is throwing down the gauntlet and saying I’ll happily play on the tag unless you show me the money.

I incline to agree .........in fact, maybe this was his plan all along. After all, he did bet on himself before the 2019 season by turning down an offer. Now with $31M in your pocket, new ( better ) head coach, new top WR, and stacked team, the odds are clearly in his favor for a better 2020 season.

Pretty little thing, let me light your candle
'Cause mama I'm sure hard to handle now, yessir'am.

I'm sure this has probably been asked and answered already, but what if the season gets cancelled? I was too lazy to look thru all the posts. Does Dak still get paid this year?

how would signing the tender get jones boys to give him the deal he wants>??
he was issued the tag..so he has to sign it, then as long as he signs a long term deal prior to july 15th, the tag will be voided out. Once your issued the tag, you gotta either sign it or other arrangements must be remedied. So it stands to reason hes signing it now. That tells me, in MY opinion at a deal is very close.

I don't think the NFL even knows at this point.
That is a bridge to be crossed most reluctantly.
