I think that was young Sheldon.Isn't there a high school coach that never punts? I know I read it some where.
People way smarter than me. That’s almost as dumb as your analysis. Because blindly you have no idea who I am. Or what I’m capable of
I totally agree with you on this one. you areGet your analytics outta here Poindexter.
(I agree with you but people in sports are notoriously stupid and hard headed)
I rely on speaking text. I have neuropathy nerve damage in my hands from the military. Most people that know me understand this. So you have an issue take it up with GoogleBut your musings do suggest that you've set a very low bar...
I think the Steelers prove your point. I don’t think anyone went for it more than they did. But I could be wrong. Cowboys had the worst special teams in the league last season. We only started one drive on the opponents side of the fieldI think teams generally already are more aggressive in this area, but it’s a bit silly to say a punt is likely a touchback in that situation. If your special teams is that bad, you have a problem.

I thought you were complaining about my pronunciations. I don’t have an issue if you don’t agree with my opinion. Even though I put a fact down to back it upUnless your damaged hands somehow play a part in your football opinions I don't see the relevance, but thank you for your service and you can put the disabled card back in the deck.
When you post something like, punch myself in the face. I was supposed to take things that you say with integrity. Please LOL you don’t want to hear someone’s opinion. You just want to hear Your opinion come out of their mouth. I understand nowUnless your damaged hands somehow play a part in your football opinions I don't see the relevance, but thank you for your service and you can put the disabled card back in the deck.
I'm at work and don't have time to dig up any statistical data or analyses, but I am pretty sure that the odds heavily favor going for it on 4th down anytime one is between midfield and the opponent's 35-yard line (and there are less than, say, eight yards to go for the first down. Obviously, you would not go for it on 4th-and-20.)
At any range beyond 35 yards, a field goal is iffy, and if you punt, you're likely to just get a touchback, or the opposing offense (in today's offense-friendly NFL) is likely to just march the ball back upfield, rendering your punt largely meaningless. On the other hand, going for it means you likely get into much better field goal range, or even enhance your odds for a touchdown.
This makes too much sense. You truly have him scratching his head. This is what I found on Google. This is what I found on Google. . So far this year, NFL games are averaging 2.0 fourth-down attempts per game, and offenses are successful on 62.5 percent of fourth-down attempts. In other words, NFL teams are getting a little more aggressive about going for it — and a lot better at picking up the first down when they do go for it.Nov 24, 2018. But it doesn’t say how much time left in the game. Who is your opponent. So many scenarios. So every team except the Cowboys can just march down the field. Next with your example of 4th and 8 and if getting those 8 yards was such an automatic then why in the 1st 3 downs did they only get 2 yards? Next if the Cowboys don't convert which is easier for the other team, starting at say the 49 yard line or the 20 if there's a touch back or maybe the 10 or 5 if it's fair caught?
Lastly if the odds were in favor of always going for it like you say, actual NFL coaches would be doing it all the time but for the most part they do it late in a game and are behind and need either a field goal or TD to win. Yes every once in a while they do it at other times, but not very often. Bad idea.

I have bad news for you. Mike McCarthy is the king of punting from his opponent’s 35. Even did it down by 10 with 8 minutes left in the game.
Let’s hope that he has had a great awakening.
Go to youtube and search for coach who never punts and you may find that interesting.I'm at work and don't have time to dig up any statistical data or analyses, but I am pretty sure that the odds heavily favor going for it on 4th down anytime one is between midfield and the opponent's 35-yard line (and there are less than, say, eight yards to go for the first down.
