What godfather offer can pry Adams away from NY?

That is definitely a possibility also. The most important question is how much is gallop going to want to resign in two years? Cooper straight up for Adams might get it done. However, Im sure that would mess things up with dead money.
I don't think they would do cooper for adams and its cap wise not possible. cooper costs 18M for the next two years, adams is cheaper. plus cooper is older....and we would take a cap hit as well.

I think a 1st and 5th or 2nd and lewis….

Gallup and a 3rd.

Actually...……………..how about Gallup, a 3rd, and Woods?

I would do that in a heartbeat.

Gallup, Woods, Awuzie and a 5th?

Take it or leave it.

Then I wouldn't.

My offer is a 1st and 3rd round pick - today. If I don't have him by the time my training camp starts, his value to me decreases, therefore so does my offer.
I wouldn’t trade anything more than that.

I was thinking more if they gave him a new contract. No way they give up a 1st round just for 1 year. They did that with Cooper. And will not for any other player, as they may need to use the tag on Dak again.
They would, but as far as fitting the trade under the cap, we should have no problems with that. I dont think it would be too hard to extend him right now either. Would probably have to move some money around, but that wont be an issue. Also Daks extention will lower to current cap

All the rumblings out there is the Jets want to keep Jamal Adams, but will listen to offers. The Cowboys reportedly called them last year and offered a 1st rd pick and Anthony Brown, where the Jets wanted a 1st rd pick, a 2nd rounder and either Tyron Smith or Zach Martin. What would be your package?

This probably wouldn't be enough:

#1, Jaylon Smith, Xavier Woods and Jourdin Lewis

You would almost have to send them back a quality starter who they can control for a few seasons

Lol.
offer a 2nd round pick.
See how motivated this player is and how motivated the jets are, blinkey-boaters!
Then and only then make a move.

You could say that about most positions. We wont even have a starter on the team at safety after this season.

I am also a fan of Devon Smith. We could also sign someone or trade for someone.

The drop-off at WR is huge, much bigger then it is at safety as our starters are no where near elite. Fully understanding the need to address the position long-term, let's hope MM and his staff make it more of a priority. You can't fill all our defensive needs in just one off-season, this year it was the corner position.

There is no drop-off. WE replace Gallup with Lamb. Its actually a big upgrade.

The guy you are actually replacing is Cobb in that scenario. 800 yards and 3 TD's is no problem.

Lamb could replace Gallups 6 TD's and Cobbs 3 all by himself. Veteran WR or Smith could replace the rest.

wouldn't be worried about it at all.

LOL...……...are you saying that going from Woods to Adams isn't a big upgrade? That's about as big an upgrade as you can get. Would turn our weakest link, the secondary into a possible strength. I would turn our weakest position, safety into a strength.

We can now go into next season and use that first round pick on something else other safety.

It would be a complete no brainer. Our WR position would be better than last year with Lamb and Cooper. Still the best 1-2 WR punch in the NFL.

question, does he play QB? Just askin.. never have I seen a safety be the final piece to a Championship team.
It been the build model.
Pick your poison, we all know that has been the poison pill.
Cant have big contracts esp now invested in safety and no time going forward, that cap is gone now, and this team doesn't invest there with big contracts, but we did throw some attention in that direction with FA adding HaHa and a couple DB prospects in the draft, so its about developing some talent at safety, but its not horrible if by the stretch run, we might be figuring out a few things in the secondary.
Wouldn't that be a nice change of character?

You need 3 quality receivers in today's NFL. We saw what the offense looked like when Cooper was out of the lineup.

Jamal Adams trade is contingent on Dak's contract.

Jerry and Stephen won't part ways with next years 1st Rd pick until they have Dak signed to a 4 or 5 year contract.

If Dak plays on Tag then next years 1st RD pick is too valuable incase Dak tanks...

I am all for 3 quality WR's if we don't have them on the roster, then go get them.

You don't need 3 guys getting over1000 yards. Lamb and Cooper would still be the best 1-2 punch in the NFL. Smith or another veteran would fill in just nicely as the #3 WR.

Adams and Ha ha would turn our weakest link on the team into a strength.

And no doubt another small trade could be made for another receiver if need be. Not a big deal at all.

There should be no reason that CD needs to replace Gallup production,, would love to see three 1000 yd receivers on this team.
Everyone would be happy.

I doubt there's a player on the roster I'd give up. Anyone like Zack Martin or Tyron Smith I value too much and lower tier players don't carry enough value that it saves us any real draft capital.

you mean Quincy toked.......... Either way like elections you have to pick an option.....we had Quincy, Henson, Hucthinson as possible QB1

In hindsight, in those legendary battles (where is @Hostile - we had some twisters back then), I actually got banned back then:lmao2:

We are all grown now, highly likely we ALL agree on a lot more than QB1
