From the stand point of getting open..

is it easier as a wideouts to be split wide or stay inside?

If we assume CeeDee is going to be a slot guy..

yet he is a WR in college..

which is better?

And some seem to think Amari will canabalize a defense if he comes from the slot.

I played TE and LBed in HS but was slow as pancake syrup at both positions.

So what is it at the pro level?

For Dak, it's a quicker throw to the slot which I think he is much better at than the downfield timing throws.

What think you?

I think Cooper, Gallup and Lamb will each get slot reps. As usual, your mind has wandered too far from home. Ring the dinner bell and call it a night.

Who is fantasizing about slot receiver options?

we have three top WR.

What “options” are even relevant here?

I imagine your posting process as something along the lines of this

You just close your eyes and your fingers begin typing while your mind goes on a stream of consciousness ayahuasca fantasy-realm journey while you have 1078 regular season Cowboy games playing an old reel to reel as your “inspiration”

And you ,,,

You and Red should be roommates because. you are birds of a feather when it comes to oddball nonsensical posts.

I’m not sure anyone could make heads or tails of you calling him a “stout veiny fellow” unless it’s some type of pickup line.

Actually Dak is much better at throwing downfield and is one of the better QBs in the league at it. Dak has had some issues with quicker short throws from the slot. Slot guys don't always have short, quick routes and Cooper/ Gallup/Lamb would all be dangerous in the slot. They can play mismatches

Stout vascular fellow is like you, minus the academic credentials and lack of capital.

Amari's quickness and route running should make him spectacular in the slot. Big advantage for quickness and route running to be able to cut in *all* directions. That's why you get the quick shifty munchkins in the slot.

CeeDee has more Dez in him for going up and getting the ball. Better to put him out wide, at least in situations where we might want that kind of throw.

You might try Deep Ellum and ride the peddle bus. You could meet men there.

Lamb was drafted in the first round, but he is currently the WR3 on this offense for the time being.
If the rook can have just a decent rookie season, than this offense will improve overall.
CD at the X, with Coop in the slot we will see a lot, but the versatility now to effectively move players around in order to force mismatches is exploitable now.
Coop, Gallup and the addition of Lamb puts this WR core in the top 3 to 4 league wide.

You need an excellant route runner in the slot. Meaning a guy that can get in and out of his cuts quickly. Lamb would be better outside than in the slot, IMO. And Cooper will not disappear in road games if he would play in the slot more.
That is exactly what I was thinking.

I trust Moore and McCarthy.

So do I. Hopefully, between the two of them, they should have the capacity to discern who is doing the best (and at what positions.) If not, they're simply failing at their jobs. They'll have the advantage of seeing, firsthand, exactly what works and what doesn't. We might think we know but do we really? I, too, trust that they'll do their jobs and make the best use of the talent at their disposal. For us, as fans, guessing from afar is merely that -- guesswork! ;)
