Personally I think we should sign him to the 4 year deal and then take the next 3 or 4 years to groom another young QB. I would be grooming and drafting talented young QB's all the time anyway.

Did someone say something about drafting a QB every draft? I didn't read that.

Whether Prescott is great or not, Cowboys need options and leverage either way.

My how quickly you forget what you say. If as I said Prescott does what he's paid to do and gets the Cowboys to the Super Bowl and then the Cowboys would then really think about other options or any leverage you perceive there might be? Ya name all of the QB that in their prime when playing really good that a team let him go or traded him away.

It's not a win. We'll have him a while longer and kicking the can down the road is alright with me.

The paralells between Dak and Cousins end pretty quick. Kinda depends on Dak but his earning power as the QB for America's team is substantially more than anything Cousins can demand commercially. Subtantially. I don't see this used as a bargaining tool. Might be but who knows.
Cousins can make money locally and to some degree regionally but Dak's potential is national and then some. I see more of a paralell with the Goose that laid the golden egg.

If you read the thread, a few posters feel vindicated against supposed "haters" by Dak
signing the tag. I was pointing out that this has gone south before with a different player
and team. And that's where my comparison ended. The rest really doesn't matter.

But since you brought it up, Cousins signed a deal that is fully guaranteed. $84 million, I believe.
It was unheard of, at the time, to sign a player to a fully guaranteed contract.

Pre prepared staged PR shot. Absolutely nothing spontaneous about it. I wonder if they originally did the photo for the long term contract, but that didnt work out so.......

Sad that you are probably an 'adult' yet act the way you do on here.
It’s sad that you’re a veteran and act the way you do. I thought vets were supposed to be hardened men who aren’t at home crying about a guy they will never meet making money on the team they apparently support.

Resembles a bottle of Pepto Bismol more-so than Dak.

The fact that your mind went there says more about you though.
