Can we copy cat Jackson and the Ravens?

My big question at this point is..

seeing how Jackson set the league on fire last season with his running out of pass formation..

are we going to incorporate that more into our offense?

are we going to run 4 receiver sets this year frequently?

Won't Zeke and the OL be able to open some gaping holes for Zeke and Pollard to exploit?

Will we do that?

If we run 4 receiver formations..will the QB draw and sweep be run? If the secondary takes off for the endzone to cover..has to be huge gaps to run thru.

Jackson with the Ravens have made that Jackson's trademark. Can Dak do that? Will he do that?

Farve was a mobile QB and he won like crazy.

Rodgers was not and was more of a pocket passer.

The WCO is very different than what we have been trying to do.

McCarthy has some things to adjust to with this cast of characters. Moore probably helps but still..

Dak needs to take on a new personality in 2020.

Here's wishing his success for sure. Everything depends on him now.

What do you guys see?

The last 2 years does anyone know what the ravens defense and special teams were ranked. Just curious.

Dak is a good strong runner but he lacks Lamar's elusiveness as a runner. If your going to use that style it needs to be early in a QB's career not after you hand him 30 million guaranteed for the year. I wouldn't design a ton of runs for him but just let him run when he sees the opportunity.

They will extend jackson early and think they are being smart, then he will total a knee or tare his Achilles or something. I hope not. Not wishing any player or person injury but it’s football.

That is the fear. it's why you don't extend early and why they had better draft a similar style QB behind him just in case. Atleast Lamar can throw too, he has a good arm.

That now is the definition of a dishonest question....asking something you already know the answer to.
:muttley:

But yeah, having a strong defense (3rd in scoring) and the best kicker in the league certainly helps..

So I guess having a good team makes a difference.

Sorry?

So you think being a fan and ticket holder amount to what?

I will think about it at the next game when I sit under the big screen. My tickets paid by the 3 other tickets for the seats I own.

You?

Type on bro.

You really should be more careful about who you want to call out. People who actually support the team with hard earned money over a 50 year period know a thing or two, bub.

FYI..I have also worked for the team as a pro photog. I already forgot more than you will ever know about this team. Gimme a break.

Hey relax sir. I didnt mean it all that badly.

I've seen people rip the heck out of you here, and I didn't mean it that way.

My fault.

This makes sense.

Especially after he ended up with a shoulder Injury last year from running.

But I asked about more than just Dak running more. I also ask about 4 receiver sets and using it to help Zeke and Pollard.

Hmmm...

There are few similarities between Jackson and Prescott, Jackson is a running fool of a QB and one of the toughest runners to tackle in the game. Prescott can be effective on breakdown and called runs but he is not in the league of Lamar Jackson, who is like a more athletic and faster Randall Cunningham.

Most QB's run, the D loves it, gets to unload on him. Not Jackson, he starts to move all the guys on the D get real wide eyed. He can really make them look bad. I didn't think he could make that transition from Louisville to Baltimore work but man, was I wrong!

I am just not interested in fighting about my fan commitment.

Or my knowledge of the team.

I am here only to contribute what I think I understand.

And it always amazes me how some people who are supposed to be fans can act like fans from a hateful rival.

Towards fellow fans.

Crazy.

No, it’s a good way to lose your quarterback for a season

Dak has stated on multiple occasions he doesn't want to be a running QB. He doesn't see himself as a running QB. He's obviously not against it here and there, but it would be a fools errand to design an offense to function in a way adverse to what your QB wants. That is, unless you're looking to move on and the scheme is more important than the personnel.

If Dak ends up playing on the tag, he may just audible out of a designed run play. Play the Nope card.

as far as those sets go it would make sense. Get the best players on the field so that might be both 2 backs 3 receivers, 1 back 3 receivers and jarwin, 4 receivers straight up. Remember pollard and jarwin were receivers at some point in their careers early.

Nah not that at all, but a bit of reach philosophically speaking sir. That's all.

I ain't the first to disagree. I worded it wrong. My bad.
