Wish it would happen already. I wonder how serious both parties are approaching this potential new deal, especially considering there are talks of the NFL and NFLPA agreeing to reducing the 2020 Preseason games from 4 to 2? Will there even be a season? I wonder if this has anything to do with Dak and the Cowboys still not in agreement with a big new contract?

The only way jerry makes deals before hard deadlines is if said player takes a discount. Dak has made it pretty well known what he wants, and is comfortable playing on the tag.

I just cant see it happening that soon.

No deal as he has not shown he deserves one......;)
Beating the Giants and Skins 4 times a year gets Dak the Tag and then that's all she wrote for Dak at big D!

This type of QB play gets a franchise contract!!!

And this NADA the Pity Tag and then the door....

Nah, more like 3:59:59pm est on July 15th the deal will get done.

Jerry has decided to make us zoners suffer another 2 weeks of Dak threads.

Closer to this .......Dez signed his deal just hours before the July 15th deadline in 2015. I would lean closer to July 12-13 if it happens.

Come on, he only had 10 yards on the defender. It's asking a lot to fit it in that tight of a window.

One thing's for sure, Dak slobberers are shaking in their boots. When is the last time a Dak slobberer told you you'll be crying when he signs any day now? They've lost their guts, not that they ever had any.

Local media seems to be at about 50/50 these days. My personal feeling is that it's about 70/30 in favor of a long term deal being signed.

YES. He will. The cap hit would be devastating if he stays on the tag and plays. Thats all guaranteed money, all 32 mil. Comes right off the cap this year. If he signs a longterm deal, we can lower that hit by a few mil. Makes no sense to let him play on that number.
