what does a stat like this mean to this discussion? I am curious how a cherry picked stat like 40+yard completions means anything?
Wingo is a Cowboys fan isn't he?
I say the most underappreciated quarterback in the league is Matt Stafford. Put him on another team, he's already in the Super Bowl. Put Dak in Detroit, and he fares no better, probably even worse.
It means he had 1 more than the greatest QB in the NFL Mahomes.what does a stat like this mean to this discussion? I am curious how a cherry picked stat like 40+yard completions means anything?
I agree with this also. Matt Stafford is an excellent quarterback and is on consistently bad teams. those few years where he had good defenses they made the playoffs. just like every qb in the league, if your defense is bad or terrible you are not going to be a good team. If Tom Brady was in new england with a different defensive coach/head coach he probably has a career like Phillip Rivers.
Did he throw those forty yards each, or is that yac included? It means he had 1 more than the greatest QB in the NFL Mahomes.
...according to Trey Wingo. He also said that if you don't think Dak is an above average QB then you need to take up another hobby because you don't know football.

So he had those good defenses, and didn't win a playoff game. Not one.
It's weird how high y'all hold the standards of team success for our QB, but every QB y'all would replace him with you just make excuses for whether it be Stafford, Dalton, etc.
Maybe Trey is the one that should give up his job because Dak is average . When you look at the games against good to very good teams where Dak disappears to the games against the bottom dweller teams where he is very good you come up with average, what was the record last year, 8-8, the very definition of average, so by his own standard he should give up on trying to evaluate football because he isn't any good at it.So many, like you, are completely missing the point.
He's stating that Dak is the most underappreciated in the league.
He's not stating that Dak is merely above average.
He's stating that if you can't understand that Dak is at minimum above average then you should give up on trying to evaluate football because you arent any good at it.
It means he had 1 more than the greatest QB in the NFL Mahomes.
dak is okay he has been in the league four years has won one playoff game has never been to a divisional playoff game not sure he is a top five qb but he is going to get paid like one
Yes, Dak is the most durable QB in the NFL.cool. dak played 16 games how many did Mahomes play?

I think the point shot past you and is heading for the stars.
I going to have to see if I can find a rear window sticker that says, "My QB is Above Average". All the other fans are going to be so jealous....

The raiders had the best performance by their offensive line according to the article. Many here say that Carr is a better QB than Dak. How is it that Carr was out performed by a lesser QB playing behind a worse offensive line? Must've been the coach!
Why would I change my statement? Did I lie?interesting statement. So it is your belief that carr is on a better team but does not produce as well as Dak.
hmm. that is an interesting statement. Can't wait to see how you change this statement when simple things are pointe out.
and the topic of the thread is "Under Appreciated"
Stafford had one above average defense and that was 2014. The other playoff years they were a team that had to win by scoring a lot and that is tough as we as cowboys fans know. Stafford is an excellent player and on a different team that is better run would have had more success just like most of the qb's of his era who didnt have all the parts around him. Look at Big Ben as soon as their defense became average his post season success is non existent even with some of the best skill players in the league.
