So, does that mean Collins is elite?

What this means is some genius armchair GM will want to trade him.

Who starts the most absurd threads on player acquisitions and transactions?

See who can guess.

Not taking pff grading too seriously, but it was easy to see he has developed into a top 10 to 12 OT and a top 5 Right Tackle for sure. Still young and can continue to fine tune technique and gain strength. Could challenge Lane for best Right Tackle in the league next season if hes putting in the work this offseason which im sure he is.

Some like Collins better than others ... some already see him as elite while others as just solid.
After an underachieving 2018 season, most thought it was a shew-in that he would be allowed to
walk as a FA, while assuming Connor Williams would be made to move to the starting RT role.

- Cowboys surprised many by re-signing Collins, but while Lael may have been publicly scrutinized by
Cowboys nation on the outside, the team was letting the world know what they thought of Collins and
how much he means to their immediate and future plans.

- Though he's departed to the NYGiants. i have no question that ex-OL coach Marc Columbo took over
for fired maligned OL Coach Paul Alexander, and renewed, re-molded Collins into a much better
much more consistent blocker . Lael only gave up 2 sacks for the entire season and just 6 penalties.
And he wasn't plagued with bad hand usage, technique breakdown, bad angles. and
with the Cowboys relying more on an aggressive passing attack than run, and deeper drops,
and playing a very demanding edge role, he was a huge part of a OL unit that was
astounding 2nd in the NFL in least sacks allowed.

- Some are already speculating that Collins could eventually be moved to the LT role -should the
end of the road come to incumbent (and future HOF) Tyron Smith.

He was our best lineman last year IMO, and I don't need PFF to tell me that.
Consistent.

Somewhat underappreciated.

Yep, I can agree there for sure.

Fred and Martin get much deserved respect but the eye test sends me to RT on this team, so I dont care about anyone's rankings.

We are lucky to have gotten him

As much as I want Adams here I said from minute one hang up phone when they ask for him.

Agreed. Martin is always a beast but injuries slowed him down a couple games. What’s best about Collins is he played his best football AFTER the new contract. 2 of the teams biggest dummies Smith and Zeke did not.

Well, before last year, he gave us lots to not appreciate, but it was an example of fans judging too soon IMO. Here's a player who had been on the left side pretty much his whole time as a football player up until we moved him to right tackle. He had to retrain himself for all the opposite movement and technique that he needed to use. That's not easy. Switching to a different coach who wanted his linemen to play with a different technique didn't help.

CBS Sports has three of our linemen in their top 10 for OT and Guard, hardly not elite. Smith, Collins and Martin...

There is some danger that he could regress with a new OL coach.

Collins by far was the most impacted in a negative way by OL coach Paul Alexander's short stay with the Cowboys.

Columbo dumbed down the scheme for 2019 which reduced mistakes but also limited the run blocking effectiveness.

Collins was the top reason for the dumb downing of the scheme.

Jerry made a huge mistake firing MColombo.

It wasn’t a football decision. It was because big Mike wanted Philbin. (Philbin’s other job will be to undermine KMoore.)

Our loss. G’nats gain.

The other mistake was hiring Nolan.

two dumb decisions.
