Report: Cowboys have no interest in David Njoku - ProFootballTalk

Judging by what’s on social media, the Cowboys supposedly are interested in trading for safety Jamal Adams, signing free agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and now trading for tight end David Njoku. It’s unknown how anyone would expect the Cowboys to fit one under their salary cap much less all three.

Every time a big-name player hits free agency or demands a trade, the player often is linked to the Cowboys.

Speculation that the Cowboys might have interest in Njoku began after his new agent, Drew Rosenhaus, asked the Browns to trade Njoku.

But Mike Fisher of SI.com quotes two sources as saying the Cowboys have no interest in trading for Njoku.

Tom Brady was linked to come to Dallas before he signed with TB.

Clowney, Adams, and now Njoki will pass. Just like the DE trade from the Jaguars, or was that last season.
As Peterson to Dallas did a few years back, and Thomas last year.

any others?

all will pass, be patient

What happened to our interest in Everson Griffin?

I'm still hoping for that signing to happen.

He should be the replacement for Quinn...not the has been Smith and the wannabe Gregory.

If it's just Mike Fisher as the "Cowboys No interest : source, ..then i'll pass.
Fisher once said McClay and the Cowboys have no interest in trading for Amari Cooper ...
He once said that Earl Thomas was trying to use the Cowboys trade interest as "contract leverage "
before he finally reneged, and admitted Cowboys had a serious interest in trading for ET.
He once said " Balony" to the rumors of Cowboys trade interest in DT Sheldon Richardson

No interest generally means the team isn't willing to pay the cost of a player, either what it would take to trade for them or their contract demands or both.

Stephen Jones has said before that this isn't the time to trade for anyone because the cost is usually at its peak. Deals are made closer to the end of camp when teams know what they've got both to fill out a position and use in a trade and are more likely to want to shed a player at a lower cost. The only way Dallas would trade for a player right now is if the price was an absolute bargain.

The never ending list of FA's that the Cowboys are linked to continues to grow.

Agents really know how to get the most $$$ for their players. Always playing the Cowboys card.

Do you think we're being used bloke?

It was reported the Browns are wanting a 1'st round pick for TE, David Njoku. :omg:
With that being so, it's very unlikely the Cowboys will be about to pursue him.

All indications point to Griffen's price. If he lowers his demands, he could draw interest from the Cowboys.

Well in this case it’s not the FA or his agent but it’s hack journalism at its best and it’s become so annoying. The writer for Clevend.com just headlines these exact words, “and the Cowboys MIGHT be interested”.....and then off we go. He could have wrote any team in that open quote but that wouldn’t get the same clicks. Journalists should get some kind of mandatory suspension for these kind of BS headlines and innuendos.
