it is called the hall of FAME lol not hall of great players or champions lol.
Tony was the most famous qb while he played, and now will be famous as a broadcaster.
It is also about what a guy does for the nfl and game of football, so I can see tony getting in someday.
it’s the Hall of Fame. Not the hall of stats.

and Tony Romo is famous.

everyone knows who Tony Romo is.
Do you guys really think on field accomplishments, including personal stats and team success, don’t factor in? Come on ...

Romo may have a chance to get in for his broadcasting career someday - way too early to say that though. He will not get in as a player.

It's the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tony is not famous for his football career. I think you are so enamored by Tony that you think everyone else feels the same way about him but that's just not true. Your perspective is so skewed in favor of Tony, you will never be able to give an objective opinion about him. I'm sorry but your sports hero is not that famous. Time will prove this out.

If it were the Hall of Infamous, Romo would be a unanimous first ballot selection.

Tony’s late game heroics on the road vs a dominant eventual SB San Francisco team gave Holley his ONLY shining moment and was, along with Emmitt’s one-armed game vs New York, one of the bravest late game performances in Cowboy history

Of course he thinks Romo is an HOFer

But sorry folks, he's not getting in.

ROH...yes
HOF...no

Of course, Jerry "nepotism" Jones is going to put his adopted son Romo in the RoH. It doesn't mean anything. Hearing you try to convince yourself he belongs in the HoF is pathetic. He's not worthy of the HoF. Maybe if they ever start a Hall of Very Good, he can get in that. You need to pull your head out of Romo's butt so you can see clearly.

I don’t think he’s getting in HOF. But yes to ROH.

In stats that don't require him to play defense or special teams, he is one the most prolific QBs in Cowboy history.
He has pretty much every record.
No he's certainly not better than Roger—few are, and it’s way easier to get stats in the 2000s vs the 1970s—but he was very, very good.

Again, I don't think Romo makes HOF and would not pound the table for it.

But if take career stats vs every QB that ever played—and even adjusted fir era, so radically boost the older guys—he is in the top 13-18 all-time. Pretty much every player in the top 20 is in or going to be the HOF.

He just needed a few more healthy years or a SB.
But no, didn't get it.

The point is, that statistically speaking, he DID play at a high enough level individually.
Just not long enough.

He was also fairly snake-bitten. 3 of his 4 playoff loses easily could've gone the other way and came down to fairly bizarre endings.
And even one of the wins came down to a last minute drive.

Lol. If Glass Joe is a hof'er then so is Dak because he's on course to eclipse Glass Joe's pitiful 2 wild card win "gold standard" bar for a Dallas QB.

Romo is the most overrated athlete of any sport, local or otherwise. You would think Romo had brought a championship to Dallas, but he never won a div playoff game. But the accolades defy logic. He was a nice QB, nice guy but Dak never had a gutless performance like Romo did in the 44-6 a**-whipping by the Eagles.

Probably the most massively idiotic post on the CBZ in a very long time.
Just total a complete 5th grade level football IQ stuff. Bozo like

Hard to top some of the posts this offseason ,but we have a winner.

And Im not even one saying Romo is an HOFer.

Andto use the Eagles as an example. He and the team demolished the Eagles in the ONLY playoff game that we faced them.
And also the week before in a game for the division title.

I got news for you, being a Dallas Cowboy hasn't meant anything since the late '90s. You need to get it through to your head that Romo was a very good player on an at best average team whose reputation for greatness was in the rearview mirror. Nothing that happened on that team during Romo's time there adds up to anything near HoF.

Time has already told that story. Achievements as a player have always been the criteria to get in as a player - that’s the source of the fame the HOF refers to. Not simply being well known, even if that comes from doing things away from the field. Jay Cutler could find a cure for cancer and become wildly famous, but he would not get in the Pro Football HOF.

If Romo were to have a long broadcasting career and get in for that, that would be a separate distinction from derserving it today, as a player.

There are better players in the HOF than Romo, that in my opinion shouldn't be in the HOF.

Is there a Hall of Chokers or Hall of Garbage Time or Hall of 4th Quarter comebacks against teams with a losing record? He would make it.

If Romo had better playoff success and one ring no doubt. Romo had some great, bad and questionable games which will place him out the race. If anything he might get into the ROH which he should focus on.
