At some point, you have to hit on your own.
Building a team through FA is a fools errand.
FA should be used to fill voids, I agree, but there is a point were you need to believe in what you have already invested in, and Jarwin is a prime
example.
Its time to let Jarwin actually show what he has now that Witten and Garrett are no longer road blocks.

Well in this case it’s not the FA or his agent but it’s hack journalism at its best and it’s become so annoying. The writer for Clevend.com just headlines these exact words, “and the Cowboys MIGHT be interested”.....and then off we go. He could have wrote any team in that open quote but that wouldn’t get the same clicks. Journalists should get some kind of mandatory suspension for these kind of BS headlines and innuendos.
100 percent correct

The rumor mill has been busy this offseason. Look at all the players that were rumored to have an interest by the Cowboys but turned out to be only that, rumor. In many of those cases, it was the player that was interested and not the team.

Tom Brady was linked to come to Dallas before he signed with TB.

Clowney, Adams, and now Njoki will pass. Just like the DE trade from the Jaguars, or was that last season.
As Peterson to Dallas did a few years back, and Thomas last year.

any others?

all will pass, be patient
Some on the board think we would have been better off signing Brady and Clowney and let Dak go. The media would have had us as Super Bowl favorites. Skip and Cowherd would be dancing in the streets.

Who is surprised by this though? This isnt Madden

I would think most aren't that surprised. But threads like that are interesting to talk about as a what if scenario.

I don't think the Cowboys are interested in acquiring any big name player through trading draft capital and then signing them to a big contract. Not at this point. Letting Byron Jones go hints at that.

Not to me. Atleast Adams is a possibility. Njoku is literally zero percent chance

I like Njoku's potential, but unless it's a a great deal for us...(3rd/4th round pick) or a player I'm already not thrilled with & at a crowded position (Anthony Brown for example).. I'd have very little motivation to inquire about his availability.

Now, when he hits free agency, different conversation and of course relative to his contract demands.

Besides, I've already found our next Tight End.

I am literally breaking down his 2019 games this morning.

Doesnt surprise me. They just gave a te 5.5m a year. A te who has flashed but we have no idea who he is because we brought back dusty Witten to play 70% of the snaps. I dont see the harm in trying to give the browns some day 3 picks and bring in another young talent. But i guess it depends on what the browns are asking if its a day 2 pick im out.

Also njoku is only 23 years old. His 5th year option is 6m. I mean i would take njoku and an extra 3 mil in cap space over ty crawford just saying

Again, I didn't think they were going to actually go there either. Anything is possible. But why let Byron go just to give up draft picks and possible players for Adams? It doesn't make sense. The Cowboys aren't giving any top player a big contract other than maybe Dak.
