8.6 wins and 7.4 losses per season average. A 500 team and decade. Sad when the Egirls had almost the identical record except for, oh yeah, they managed to win a Lombardi with a backup QB and LT.

Eagles: 87-73-0
Cowboys: 86-74-0
Giants: 70-90-0
Skins: 62-97-1

This is sad. We only had one competent team in the division to worry about and Garrett couldn't get this team to at least one NFCCG? Thank goodness he is gone.

What's sadder is this. Since our last Super Bowl win:
NFCCG appearances
Eagles: 6
Giants: 3
Cowboys: 0
Washington: 0

I see people wanting to blame everything on Garrett, and while he was/is horrible, Jerry is the real issue.

And lest we not forget those Mighty Midgets '11 season...

And although not in the 2010-2020 decade but far more powerfully painful for me to accept with their 07 fluke win over one of the best teams I've seen in my lifetime(watching since '75) in the 07 Pats and then to do it again 4 years later over the Pats and cement the most over rated player in the history of pro balls legacy. One Elisha Manning.
Im still receiving counseling.

Yep, with those 9-7 and 10-6 regular season records to go with those Lombardis, those Mighty Midgets were pure dominance during the season lemme tell ya.

I think Im gonna puke.

I agree. Been watching since about the same time. But the Giants are funny that way. Remember back in '86? Even though they ended the season with a great 14-2 record, they weren't dominant until late in the season. Same thing applied to '07 and '11. They became a different team right before the playoffs. Even the '90 season, they go on to beat all the teams they lost to in the regular season in the playoffs. With a backup QB. I was actually worried they might do it again in '16.

The 2011 Giants are probably the worst team to ever win a Super Bowl. I’m still not over the Cowboys losing to them in 2007.

They were statistically among the worst, if not the worst, Super Bowl champion of all time. I think they had the 25th-ranked rushing defense, and of course, no 9-7 team had ever won a Super Bowl before.

Washington exists for the sole purpose of making Dallas feel better about itself.

Since 1996, the only NFC teams to have not appeared in the conference title game are Dallas, Washington and Detroit.

that just shows stats dont mean much.

The key is to play good and win when it matters, and those giants teams did just that.
one team they beat was the 15-1 packers, who after a great season, were one and done at home in the playoffs lol.
they didnt play good when it mattered.

snyder is a bozo lol, but he finally hired a decent HC, so I am curious to see if rivera can lift the Commanders back up to contending
for the division.

Well to be fair it wasnt division teams that knocked dallas out of the playoffs. It was GB twice, and the Rams once.
It just shows that winning a weak division doesnt mean you can play well against the better teams in playoffs.

Like last year, dallas could not beat a team with winning record, so if they had beat phil, they would have probably been 1 and done or
knocked out in div round again.
you cant be a weak team all season, and then do well in playoffs. Dallas was sloppy and inconsistent under JG, and that held them back.

This should all improve with the new coaches, will be interesting to see.

Yep, and in that time, several franchises have built and then rebuilt Super Bowl contenders..Seahawks, Eagles, Packers, Rams, Panthers, and 49ers.

The Giants defensive line was one of the best at getting to the QB in the playoffs that year and in my opinion, teams that get to the QB are almost always one of the last teams eliminated.

Skins are there to be the punching bag when they take a break from Jerry.

The upcoming promises to be intriguing. McCarthy and staff will be required to face the challenges of adjusting to a very limited period of TC and scant time to prepare his troops for battle. Here's truly hoping they'll be able to meet those challenges with dogged aggressiveness. ;)

And they reached the NFC Championship game more than once and reached the SB twice winning one.

While I agree we can place blame on Jerry for this drought, no coach between Switzer and McCarthy was given as much talent and time to work with than Jason Carrot. Jason Carrot is absolutely complicit in this prolonged drought.

Jerry Jones hired the idiot Garrett and gave him 14 year to ruin the last decade and a half. So ultimately, he is responsible.

However when breaking down the abilities or lack thereof Garrett as a coach...………………...he is bad.
