Emmitt dominated a game with a separated shoulder. Zeke takes himself out several times a game.

Just think had Ewok not been suspended 6 games. But that doesn't really matter being his numbers took a landslide in 2019 after big pay day anyway.

He'll NEVER be Dallas's all-time rusher after those 2 debacles
against him already.

Excellent point. I forgot about the Goodell persecution of Zeke without due process.

1. i never stated who I think had the better start

2. the fact that zeke “can never make a guy miss in the open field” and yet can still put up the numbers he has, is amazing

3. LOL at thinking Zeke doesnt carry this team

4. Regardless of how many games Emmitt missed as a rookie, Zeke still averaged more ypc

Its close. Oh yea and there was this

You'll never see that kind of humility from Zeke.

You could argue Zeke would have 3 rushing titles too if not for a witch hunt. You could also argue Zeke would have two rings playing on those teams and that Emmitt would have zero under Garrett. None of us knows and I dont have a comment on the player comparison between the two. Just saying these are valid arguments.
If we want to make those excuses for Zeke, like the OP wants, we need to use those excuses for all players.

Which the OP won't do lmao

I don't see Zeke as a player to dedicate himself to his craft nearly as devoted, nor determined, as Emmitt was!

Emmitt was the consummate professional when it came to sustaining his conditioning throughout his career. :)

Not to mention he avoided direct hits, whereas Zeke sometimes looks for contact.

Zeke or Emmitt?

You never answered my question/ thought.
I don’t think you saw Emmit play. Zeke is a very good player no doubt, his measurable are better but he is not the better player on the field and Emmits yards and TD’s were the reason we won. He was the heart and soul of the 90’s Cowboys.

People, the game is different now. You can not compare different eras statistically. But I guess you are gonna do what you are gonna do so I guess, have fun..........

I don't agree that you cant compare these two guys. And there is no harm in admitting that Zeke has similar numbers to the great Emmitt.

The point about Zeke is outside the numbers. Emmitt was the heart and soul of the Cowboys. He dominated when it counted and when the team needed him. In the 4th quarter and in the biggest games in the playoffs. Giants fans will never forget the game Emmitt crushed them. And when Emmitt was around the NFC East was the cream of the NFL. The Eagles and Giant teams were some of the toughest defenses in the NFL.

Zeke is the farthest thing from a leader, is a total fool, and rarely shows up in big games or big moments. I cant remember any. And the NFC east has basically been a doormat during his time.

The 90's Cowboys won because of talent, but also leadership.

People that think that Zeke is better simply don't understand the finer points of football.

Sorry but wasn't Zeke's response pretty humble? Not humble would be, "I know!" or "Glad he sees that." Some pretty slanted opinions in here based on if they like Zeke or not. The numbers up for comparison are "First 4 years" and people somehow feel the need to call in Emmitt's whole career to measure the 2. That's pretty interesting to me.
