mama mia!! guessed 300 million in guaranteed money and i was way off.
Romo was a wimp and it showed in the play offs. He was coached by 3 coaches including a HOF coach (Super Bowl winning Coach) and a future defensive HOF coach (Super Bowl winning coach). That just wasn't enough for his long meaningless career.
So who do you think we get that will take us to the SB in the draft, and will we have to lose all of our games to get the #1 pick? And if we did procure said number one pick, how do you know we'll win with him? How do you know he's a team player or not injury prone? And if he doesn't work out, then what? We start over again? And by then I'll be 60 years old, 35 years removed from a Super Bowl title? Yeah, your plan is genius.
Lol yeah, Mahomes sacrificed so much to sign a contract extension that can pay half a billion dollars. It’s heartbreaking to think about the hardships he agreed to endure for his team.
With, per multiple reports, only $63 million fully guaranteed at signing, it’s a pay-as-you-go deal for the Chiefs, who surely will want to keep Mahomes for the next 12 years, especially as the market and salary cap grow and the deal looks more and more like a steal for the Chiefs, if Mahomes keeps playing like he has for his first two years as a starter.
Right now, he's at 31 milHe had Parcells for what one year that he started. Wade Phillips as a HC (seriously) and you forgot Garrett. Anyway...
When you have no money for other positions, your plan is genius. You are dealing with a lot of speculations as well. Teams have won a SB without a 1st Round QB.
Again, I didn’t say I didn’t want him to a long term contract, just not $40 mil a season. But at the end of the day, he’s also not irreplaceable. Using your prior logic about Romo, he better do something the next two years or we would have wasted time with Dak too.
But that's exactly what happens. Unless you don't want to retain Dak and I'm sure you don't but if the Cowboys want to retain Dak they need to come to the realization that they are going to have to settle for his 4 year demand or expect to pay heavy that 5th year. Free agency doesn't work where guys except lowball offers especially at quarterback at 26 years old.I’m also aware the Rams extended Goff early in the season at a record number and he completely was mediocre. You can overpay for garbage and the market can be over-valued. It doesn’t mean you have to pay that rate...
You would find me annoying because I hold you guys accountable for the dumb things you say. And what genius blocks someone and tells them he blocked them other than some attention starved child? Please keep me on ignore I'm sure you aren't the only person and if you're as sensitive as you're acting I'm sure I'm in fine company on your block list.I am probably going to block you again. Top 5 most annoying posters on here. My point was clear.
You think Mahomes has the worst contract ever?LOL.....Zeke now has company as worst contract ever....

If they want to retain Dak then yes they are going to have to come give up something they don't want. That's how negotiations work. Both sides have to give up something they don't want. People thinking they will still get Dak on a bargain are wishful thinking. The time to do that was two years ago or last offseason. They allowed Wentz and Goff to set the market and the Cowboys should've been the ones setting the market. Now they have to set the market even higher. It clearly won't be as high as Mahomes but I won't be as low as Goff either.Goff and Went be one UFAs in 2025. Dak wants to become one in 2024. They don’t have to do anything.
Plus, there is no guarantee anyways that salaries are going to go up because of COVID. You are looking at a potential shortfall this year of 3.5 billion if the game is played without fans.

Chiefs will be the next dynasty.
Finally an AFC team I enjoy watching. Props to their FO.
Luv your avatarThat is still 40 mil a year avg.
So does everyone want to pay dak that?? He is not even close to Mahomes.
I say 10 years 300 mil.
How many more contracts do you need to see signed by either Cowboy players or others (Mahomes) to realize when a team believes in a player he gets signed to a multi-year contract! But that's exactly what happens. I actually think this screws them....much the same way the Saints got screwed by signing Drew Brees. You just can't tie up that much money into one player...and still have a team. You just can't. I'm excited as hell now....Cowboys will be drafting a QB in 2021.
