we can all agree dak vs the texans or 49ers would mean an L for us.
Well... You about summed it up when you said; "Dak vs the Texans or 49ers would mean an L for us".
First... It's never Dak vs any team. It's the Cowboys team vs another team.
Second... Without the defense, the Chiefs offense doesn't rally from a 28 point deficit. Which was my point.
Third... When you're done using your crystal ball to check out the scores for games in the future... Maybe I could borrow it... I have some bets I would like to place.

Well technically, July 15th is the cut off date (unless they changed it in the CBA). If Dak doesn't sign an extension then, they can't sign a long term contract until after the season. So if something is going to get done, it has to happen in the next week.
The entire universe is aware of that.

I think it has no effect because a) even Dak fans should admit he's not in the same class as Mahomes in terms of negotiating position, and b) the Mahomes contract is really weirdly structured and kind of clowns on him in the fine print.

Mahomes set the bar.

Anything near 40 million a year is out. If he gets 35 now he’ll be lucky.

Good News is we won’t have to deal with him being the highest paid. That might actually ease the tension and pressure.

Mahomes signed a team friendly deal. He could have demanded more per year.

Chiefs and the Hunt family are class of the league. They constructed the largest contract in sports history without busting the bank per Annum. Brilliant.

One plays for Andy Reid and the other for Garrett!!! Lol

Andy Reid's been coaching for 20 years and has 1 SB win. He is a great offensive mind but let's not act like Mahomes isn't one of the big reasons Reid finally got over the hump. I like the McCarthy hire. I think he is gonna be great for this team and for Dak, but Dak Prescott is not even close to the talent that Mahomes is. Anyone who argues that just doesn't watch the games on Sunday.

There has been a pattern in recent years in the NFL where the next big quarterback deal tends to be a tad more money than the last one.

This one is likely to bust the charts for a while. But that doesn’t mean it likely won’t have an effect on what Prescott will eventually make.

Great qb and team player against below average qb and selfish Player.

No. Really, it's not complicated at all.

30 years of coaching and you still need to talk like a 12 year old ? (Lol).

When can we all reckon with your coming to age ?

When will you Dak slobberers realize that he’s average at best? Mahomes has HOF tattooed across his forehead barring injury. This deal will have no barring on whoever the lame duck signs with. Wake up American!

not complicated!

Daks not Mahomes , his new contract means nothing in negotiations because the DC can say show me your Mvps, and SB rings and 2 AFCG appearance s in your first two years as a starter? just about every top QB with the hUge deals did just that OR SOMETHING OFF THAT LIST BEFORE THEY GOT PAID...

its not next man up if you rant in the same zip code as aplayer, you telling me any starter up for new deal can say hey i want more then Mahomes? no they cant..

Argue all you want with the dude, but don't put down the garbagemen.

Those dudes are some of the hardest workers out there and no in an ideal conditions.
Not sure how you got that I was putting down garbage men... Unless of course... Calling PAPPY a garbage man, was an insult to garbage men in your opinion. In that case, we could probably agree, it might have been a slight to garbage men.

I predict there now will be no long term deal. Prescott will play under the tag, Cowboys will decide what to do next year.
