I have added a countdown timer to the home page just so everyone will know when we can all finally enjoy the post-Dak-contract era at least for a few months whether he signs a new contract or not!

Bless your heart Reality. But the Dak contract arguments aren’t going to end if he plays on the tag. They will continue all season long about whether he should be resigned next off season.

oh and every single off target pass or bad game is going to bring out the worst in people too.

If Dak doesn't have a new deal by the 15th, I think the Cowboys will need to plan on finding a new QB.

Agreed. If Dak isn’t signed by the deadline , his future as a Cowboy isn’t likely.

Unfortunately it does not matter what Dak does. He signs for $33M per and people will complain. He signs for $35M+ per and people will complain. He plays on the tag and people will complain. He signs an extension next year and people will complain.

For the most part any player that signs a long term extension becomes a target. Everyone is cool with the player on the way up and then some turn against the player after they earn their 2nd contract.

They will definitely end in the Fan Zone I assure you.

We have had a long off-season of people spamming thread after thread without changing anyone's mind. We are not going through a season of that in the Fan Zone.

You think they are that forward thinking? They had tons of opportunity to get this done a long long time ago and avoid this headache, instead they wiffed and waffled. So now that there is a flood of QB talent infused in the NFL they are going to sit on this wait until there is an even more expensive FA to try to replace him or just go with nothing at QB. Genius.

People like myself just do not rate Prescott as a very good QB. It's as simple as that. Nothing personal, no other reason than I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. He is overrated because of his impressive durability but...unfortunately we aren't exactly getting Dan Marino type performances from him in games yet given the way some people bang on about him, you would think that we haven’t signed the next Peyton Manning to a long term deal. He's a bus driver and there are plenty of other options including another one already on the roster for $3 million as opposed to $40.

Maybe you will miss Dak as well. Many here complained about Romo and missed him after he was gone. Until you know who replaces Dak you have no idea how happy you will be with the next QB. We do know the JAG bus driver QBs that played in 2015 struggled to score TDs. Neither Romo or Dak has issues putting points on the board.
