@aria Athletes don't owe you their image, likeness, or signature. If they want to make profit off of those things, that's their right. If you don't want to pay for it, don't. You don't have some right to it for free. Spare me that its about the kids. Teach your kids better. If you want to argue that the fans make him popular, no they don't. His talent does. And you are never obligated to watch him on TV or stand in line for an hour extra, or listen to/watch interviews, or buy products that they endorse. You can speak with your wallet. Get over it.

Thanks for the lesson. Just as his talent makes him popular, his crappy personality makes him unpopular. If they want to make a profit, that’s their right just as it’s my right to criticize someone who makes millions of dollars and doesn’t hold up to their end of a deal by charging people $25 for merchandise before signing anything. He’s a scum bag.

I can also speak with my words, they’re much more effective than my wallet because I wouldn’t drop a dime on that punk unless it was to see him go to another team.

No, you're words aren't effective because you act as if someone is basing their opinion on Elliot based on what you say. Saving your money speaks more. You sound like a true hater.

There’s plenty of people who agree with me about his off the field personality, independent of his raising money effort, some of who have admitted as much in this very thread. No one is basing their opinion off mine, at least I hope not, but it doesn’t mean they can’t or don’t agree. Elliot doesn’t need my help in making himself look bad, he does a fine job on his own.

You seem to be championing the rights of players to screw fans over but bashing my rights to express my opinion that the punk bully diva is a scumbag in a public forum.

I sound like a true hater because I am, I’ve never denied that. I know this hard to believe but a lot of people hate zeke (very few as much as I do) and many Cowboys fans would hate him like they hate other dbags on other teams, if he wasn’t wearing the Star. At least I have the you know what to admit that and say it publicly regardless of what team he plays for. My personal values come before a jersey and I’m obviously not shy about expressing that.

No, you are using him asking you to pay for items as reasons why he is a scumbag. I am saying its his right, just as much as its your right to not buy the items.

Oh no no no no...I’m sorry if I misled you or mis spoke, that’s only of a fraction of why I call him a scum bag.

Also, it really wasn’t his right. If you read the article, everyone there agreed to give their signature to each attendee two times, that was part of the entry fee. There was nothing said about making it mandatory to buy someones merchandise in addition to paying the fee to get in which entitled those people to get their two autographs. It appears he’s the only dbag that did this, screwing over his own fans for additional money when he’s already making millions. I’m sure the organizers were livid because it reflected badly on them, not to mention showing up two hours late, but at that point what are they going to do? He’s a jerk.

I would like and agree with your post if it was more specific to zeke, you hardly see me complaining about anything or anyone else on this team. Go to the Dak threads and you’ll find a lot more complaining about a guy who doesn’t even deserve it.

The biggest moron and jerk on this team gets a free pass because he got some yards. That’s wonderful and homerism at it’s finest.

People say things like that all the time, but don't donate to a good cause unless they are getting something back like girl scout cookies. Simply taking old clothes in good condition to non profits is too much for some people.

I am not sure I follow your point. I don’t put out a press release for every $20 I donate to a good cause. Zeke bringing awareness to a cause is a good thing, yes, but let’s not act like he personally fed a half million people.

Man if I hated some athlete, let alone on my team...I'd shut up about it I'd be so embarrassed. Obsessive....a sickness.

One thing I never thought of is trolling. You DO get a lot of attention from it!

Absolutely wonderful. But feed 400,000 families with 85k? That’s 21 cents per family. A family of 4, that’s like 5 cents per person. A great gesture, nonetheless, but the math doesn’t add up. Zeke meant to say 40,000.

Poor guy needs to get off the weed, NOW. :lmao2:
I had the same thought
But it’s a very cool thing
Math is hard for some

His donation would be like most people throwing a couple dollars towards a food bank but since he’s such a punk 99% of the time this is considered news worthy. Yawn.
Have you thrown a couple bucks in today?
Regardless of your rant I’m sure the meals are much appreciated

Yea, I was avoiding this thread because while it was an awesome gesture, i was kinda like...that isn't going to help much

Did we expect one fundraiser to eliminate hunger? Every $85,000 helps. This was another money opportunity event in the ongoing effort.

Nope, I donate a certain percentage directly out of my paycheck every 2 weeks to St Judes and regularly give to the SPCA and a local non kill animal shelter. I also volunteered for a few years at a center for autistic children while in college when I had more time than money and did lots of charity work when I was with the Odd Fellows.

Thanks for asking though, I’m sure the animals appreciate it just as much as the humans.
