I actually like Dalton.......the best current back-up QB in the league. But there's a reason NO team was willing to a draft pick for him, not even a 7th. Stop the, he's better the Dak none sense........

that statistic did surprise me

come playoff time we have to start our 3rd string qb
Or come playoff time have the defense not give up 300 yards rushing in a game. Dak is only QB on the roster with a playoff win and played well against GB and Rams even though they weren't wins

Do all quarterbacks play behind the same oline?

No.

Ah ok. Nothing to see here (again)

Military cut-off ages...

Air Force 27
Marines 28
Navy 35
Army 42

But the government has a law...its illegal to discriminate due to age. Yet they discriminate, due to age. I just find it funny. Just something else to laugh at!

It's not illegal to discriminate based on age 39 and younger. A few states have passed additional laws protecting younger people. Obviously, the military operates in a different capacity, but the law was not intended for the military, so what you are saying is non-sensical.

Dalton was really nailing those throws into a net in his back yard though.

This is what it's all about. To me, it's like some of the backup QB moves we did in the early 1990s, getting former starters to man the position and hopefully be able to get you through a few games if your starter goes down.

Only here can we turn it into a toxic debate.

He is the best backup we’ve had in years

Dalton is hands down better than Dak.

Ya and that's why the Cowboys got him for a measly 3 mil. Oh ya tell me about the long list of teams itching to sign Dalton after he got fired from the bengals. Could you Prescott hatred be any louder?

Dalton's 32 year old legs have robbed the Rifle.

118 Career Ints ; 14 Career Pick 6s

If Dak Tanks DiNucci/Pollard era begins.

I don't feel like watching Zeke and Lamb make tackles after Interceptions...the Rifle is dead

Whatever the "rifle" is.

crazy Buffalo thinks Allen is their future..hes got backup numbers but can run ie Brissett..

No one said Daltons better then dak but dak at over 35 and Dalton at 7..trust me the gap isnt that big..its the contract demands people take issue with not Dak himself..

what most said is a strong line, zeke, pollard and a great 3 headed WR core, we can win with Dalton..they might be right..

I'd never advocate Dalton to start, but this really needs to be looked at in context.
The ineptitude of that Bengals o-line was comical.
Maybe people could look up how Dak did during that 3-4 game stretch without Smith in 2017.
I'm going to guess it was extremely ugly.

The jury is out on Allen.
He was the one QB who pretty much everyone said for sure needed a couple of years of seasoning coming in.
Well, now he's had it, so time to roll.

Last year, with maybe the worst receiving group in the NFL he had 29 total TDs and 9 picks
Just a reminder that Dak had 33 total TDs and 11 ints with an infinitely better offensive roster.

Who knows, maybe Allen will keep getting better with more help. Stefon Diggs is a good start

Oh, OK. I thought it was a federal law. Didn't know it was controlled by every individual state. But it still would have been funny if there was a federal law and that federal law was being broken by the federal government.

Martz will NOT go with that plan , Dalton will have his shot to save the season with a full commitment.. the only games dinucci might play is the last 3 games if they 100% have zero mathematical chance to make the playoffs..

so if Dak starts out 3-5 doesnt look good you will see Dalton like Tannehill and see if they can turn it around..a vet coach isnt handing the keys to a RAW Rookie until its 100% over..3 games would be a good lets see what Dinucci has..

Yeah. Everyone's legs give out at 26. That's why the military doesn't take anyone older than 28.

But! But! But! Its illegal to discriminate due to age.

But! But! But! The military do not have any age discrimination law to worry about. The do have an age limit to be inducted into the military. They even do administrative discharges for soldiers that get passed over on promotion 3 times in a row to make room for younger soldiers. Now as far as Elliott, take a wild guess of what the average career length for a running back in the NFL. Give up? It's 3.3 years. Tell me something else why has Elliott's longest runs from scrimmage gone down every year since his rookie season along with his total yardage for a season? Emmitt Smith had more yards in his 6th season than he had in any of his first 5 seasons and Emmitt's second season was more than Elliott's rookie season. Some backs defy the averages while others just prove it like Elliott.

Actually there is a federal law that protects against discrimination based on sex, race, age or religious affiliation but the military is exempt from that law because the defense of this country depends on having physically able personnel. That's why people that are over weight when they enter boot camp but can't pass the physical requirements are discharge and aren't assigned a school to attend for further job specific training or just added into the infantry.. You may think it OK for someone 38 years old that can't keep up with 21 year olds to be defending us, but most of us want those that can keep up with the rest of the soldiers to be defending us.
