It was never going to happen. Teams who believe they have a franchise QB find a way to get this thing done. If the Cowboys don't get this done then at this point they are telling you they are not completely sold on Dak. I guess they have 3 days left

with teams that have a franchise qb they get them signed to a new contract this pretty much tells u all u need to know it probably didnt help when his agent pulled the offer after the first three games last season

No telling what the price is now after Mahomes deal..

I’m becoming optimistic that Dallas is going to replace him if the opportunity presents itself.

If it doesn’t then we will see him play the next 2 seasons on the tag.

I agree with you and next seasons draft they will draft his replacement and ease him into the lineup

If there isn't a long term deal by Wednesday, I find it hard to believe a long term deal will get done next off-season...the price will only go up..so you might get your wish..

no point in signing him more than the tag. Guarantees his services for a year, lets you evaluate without being tied down, and if you find someone else there you go.

it does make sense if you don't believe he's a top generational talent. We could most likely get similar performance from the position and the same or better record with someone much cheaper. And new blood will always bring the possibility of of better potential. We know what we have with Dak.

Oh boy. So y'all think we're going to be in position to draft a better QB next year? Will he follow in Dak's footsteps & hit the ground running or are you willing to wait another few years before we even return to the playoffs?

Dak will get a fair to good offer by July 15. France wants top dollar like he got with his other clients. In the end Dak will make the decision. I just can’t imagine him turning down 100 million dollars in guarantees.

If they are that far off like Watkins is stating then the only way that happens is if Dak drops his price, not sure that is going to happen

All Dak has to do is tell his agent to get the deal done. He has until the 15th. It’s just a phone call.

I said before, if there isn't a deal by the 15th then most likely Dallas will find another QB. May tag Dak one more time next year if they haven't found a replacement.

We don’t know what Dak is asking for. I actually think the Joneses offered him a fair deal but his agent wants top dollar. France probably wants Dak to go the Cousins route.
