None, never had any, and will not buy any.
Any of these types of shoes over $40 is a waste of money.

I had Nike and Reebok and other top brands over the years, and they did not last me any longer than a pair of Walmart $20 specials.

The only pair that lasted years, and years was a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor high tops. And that was in the 70's. Not sure how they are now.
My brother was on the high school basketball team. Each year they gave them 2 or 3 pairs of them. One for practice, the others for games.
He would give me the practice pair after the season. I then wore that for the next 5 years.

Now a pair of any brand, I am lucky to get 1 year of wear. Though I have not bought Converse for years, maybe I need to try them again.

Dad sneakers. :D (normally Nike or New Balance)

Only Jordans I ever had is when I lived in New Orleans and the school colors were red and black. The entire basket ball team had matching red and black Jordans. That was in the mid-80s though.

Jordan is a has-been now. Time to move on!

I am more of an Air Penny and Air Max 95/97 man myself. Have more than would like to admit right now :D

If any of you guys wear watches, it's the same idea. Shows you know quality in that realm (that's all)

I hope yaw realize teens/20 yo.s still wear Jordans...he re-released all those shows and the kids(and deftly grown men) are buying em up at 400-500 and higher, etc. My boss wears his Jordan retros on dress down Fridays lol

This whole trend of people collecting sneakers eludes me completely. I don't understand the fascination at all.

Shoes make the man mantra on steroids...just the type of shoes has changed to sneakers instead of suede/leather in some circles (I own a couple of those for work too)

The one element I agree with is the costs...Us sneaker people are deftly getting played in terms of quality (costs like a few dollars to make these 200 dollar sneakers).

Admittedly maybe a little peter pan complex going on mixed in with growing up poor. I can afford the sneakers I wanted then..now, etc.

I'm talking about the people who display them, like they're works of art.

Wonder if there has ever been a woman, who loves shoes, bought dozens of pairs and has closets full of them, ever visit a house where the guy had a bunch of Air Jordans and she thought it was a turn off?

In 1983 my sister bought me some tennis shoes ( as in tennis ) made by a company called Nike.

Solid white camel leather uppers they were awesome.

About two years later I bought some hi top tennis shoes in my color scheme (maroon / grey ) as the others were pretty worn.

Hit the wall on my tennis playing and hung it up.

Still have them to this day but they are kinda worn.

Jordons? zip, zilch, nada...

Proportion to salary it could look ridiculous, where are this guy's priorities? That's why I used to stash my video games

But it could be a bit girly also I would imagine depending...but when the rest of your house looks like below, that becomes the least of her concerns...:D
