Is it time for a uniform change?

I like the blue uniforms. Glad they wore them more last year. Hope they keep up the trend.
Maybe it's a. Old Man here talking but do any of the older guys and girls on here remember the blue jersey change in 1981? Specifically the first 3 or 4 games? The Jersey numbers were "solid" in that they were a white outline stripe completely filled in with the matching color of the football pants. Not like now with the navy break between the white outline and the white solid number. As I remember after the first few games they had to change the numbers more in line with how they look now. Or it could be that I'm going senile. Lol.

Once negative comments start coming, it's oftentimes the kiss of death here. Getting out of that doghouse can take forever.
So true. Perceptions rarely change. Dak had some accuracy issues early in his career. He has improved. I think someone in the media made a statement in training camp 2 years ago that Dak was missing by inches where he had been missing by yards his first 2 years.

But people latched onto that criticism and every non-perfect pass just reinforces their believe he is inaccurate because those passes stick out like a sore thumb. Mind you, other QBs also throw a ton of balls with non-perfect ball placement, and the objective stats show Dak has improved, but it won’t matter.

It’s like Romo being a choker. Some people developed that perception early and he never was able shake it.
I agree that Dak has been blamed for interceptions that in my opinion should have been caught, I just think that isn't a good example. A good example was the Cobb non catch at the 4 yard line in one game.

The pass at 21 seconds looked like Dak fired it in to Cooper where he could only get one hand on the ball behind him. Not a good pass at all. It was coming in too hot for Cooper to make any catchable adjustment.
You and I should have been able to catch the ball Cooper dropped. I get it mistakes happen but the interception was on Cooper. The imperfect pass to lead to YAC is as on Dak.

Problem is biased have to get in the way and an extreme stance is taken in most cases. The ball could have been better placed yet still should have been caught and not intercepted. Not many can concede both can be true because they have to push a certain agenda.

I'm just going by what I saw at full speed. There are numerous examples of drops and tipped passes Dak threw that should have been caught. I just don't think that was one of them. With the velocity that ball had there was no way for Cooper to adjust to that ball. Cooper had a split second to react and got a hand out.

Gotta be honest, I'm tired of the regular white uniforms with silver pants or whatever color it is. Very bland.

Wish the team would make change it up and go back to the throwback uniforms (the ones for Thanksgiving games) for good.

Those white helmets with the deep blue star would be the best helmet in the league. And the white pants and predominantly blue jerseys are classics.

Maybe slightly modernize them for a new look but don't change much.

P.s. look at that interception at 12:15.

That's why Romo isn't going into the hall of fame.

I think we already have the best helmet in the league. I like changing it up, but wouldn't go too far.

Change? No

Fix? Yes

-Make the blue numbers match the star on the helmet.
-modernize the shoulder stripes
-jettison the green tint

I'd simply make a white jersey that's a copy of the blue (with Cowboys written in the middle) and lose the royal blue. Simply Navy, Silver, and White.

yeah that’s pretty much what I have in mind.

Really as long as the blues match, I’m good

Liked the throwback white helmets with the single color blue star. But the NFL said throwbacks have to use the same color helmet.

No. The Cowboys uniform is and will always be TIMELESS, it is pure elegance and will never run out of style

The seafoam green pants make no real sense (I understand why it happened), but it works with the white uniforms as a whole.

Its classic, iconic. Look at what the Miami Dolphins look like nowadays. That's awful. Be careful of wishing for change.

The blue road jerseys from the 70s, and through 1981 IIRC look better than the deep blue since.

They also are at least closer to the same blue the numbers are on the white jerseys now.

Then again, that blue doesnt match the blue on the star on the helmet, and you cant go changing that.

The double star jersey next to the helmet is too many stars.

I wasnt around in the 60s so I cant accept white helmets.

I hate the clown BIG stars on the shoulder pads. Maybe remove those and keep the rest. Wouldn't mind an all blue type setup. Helmet is great. IMO. How do you guys feel about bringing back the numbers on the side of the pants? I thought those looked awesome. Even though Jimmy didn't:laugh:

The people who want to change the uniforms are the people who don't even know who the Cowboys are.

The Cowboys should go back to this look. Serif numbers, light bluish/gray pants and the royal blue road jerseys.
