they are changing it , decision is made..have to fast track to get it by start of the seasons..

I like the idea of the Red Tails but saw some mock ups of Red Wolves logo and uniforms and think that's the way to go. I can't believe I care at all about that garbage team. All I can say is I'm a sucker for good looking uniforms. One of my "titles" at Mesa CC was Director of Swag.

that’s like a create a team in madden. This is why fans shouldn’t make these decisions.

What will the Washington football team wear during classic uniform week? Perhaps make them wear an old Cowboys or Eagles uniform and helmet? :)

So, will the rivalry feel permanently different to you from now on? It's somehow hard to get revved up for a Cowboys-Redtails game, or Cowboys-Bureaucrats, Cowboys-Non-Term-Limited-Congressmen (or whatever the new name is) game.

Granted, Dallas and Washington haven't had a rivalry since the 1990s since both teams have been mediocre since, but still.

We’ve been calling them the deadskins for years. That’s going to become a reality now with a name and logo change. To have to completely change their teams identity has got to be disheartening to their fan base.

Yes, they are going to lose a lot more fans than they would gain with such a move. Don't know how it will affect their performance on the field, but you know their fandom, ratings, value etc. will all steeply nosedive.

Football just isn't the same as it was then anyway. I remember growing up in NC when the Deadskins were pretty much the home team and I was the only Cowboy fan around. How I hated them back then. It hasn't been the same rivalry for years. This just puts something else on top of it.

I remember the 70s games - I really did hate those guys. Hated Theisman, too.

Maybe it's age, maybe it's neither team playing in a championship game this century, or both, but it isn't close to the same anymore.

These fools up here in Washington trying to use the name red wolves they want to do the howling in the stadium call The Wolf Den the Wolfpack among other wolf related names I've been on the phone on Twitter trying to explain that the Cowboys already do the howling when Leighton Vander esch makes a play. I told him you need to be more original I need more fans to get this out
