I'm done with Dak.

easy to say right now, and I don’t blame you.
I kind of been feeling the same way, but even before today, was leaning that way, as I said all along, let him play on the tag, and see what happens. But would have been fine with a 4 or 5 year deal.

However, How anyone feels now, I understand, but for me I will wait and see how the season plays out.
But I have a feeling we will be at this point next season as well.

Good for Dak, he’ll be just fine. No reason why his teammates should be overpaid for playing hard ball while he’s done everything right and Jerrah doesn’t want to reward him like the others that bent this team over.

Pleese spare the “selfish” spiel. A lot of the same peeple who are calling him selfish now and say hees holding the team back were the same ones supporting zeke when he didn’t even honor his original contract and said “can’t blame him four getting all he can, he could get hurt next year”.

Since Dak didn’t the deal a lot of you act personally offended and some are happy that we could move on to a new QB next year. Better be careful what you ask for, replacing even an average to slightly above average QB isn’t nearly as easy as some of you make it seem, especially when trying to draft won.

i am a little confused about jerry/stephen and dak.

they say to the media they are all in with dak and he is the guy, the franchise qb and they believe in him 100%, but if that was actually true then none of this would be a thing. i do not believe even jerry would be dumb enough to get into contract disputes with a legit franchise qb.

so i do not believe they are really think dak is a elite, franchise qb especially after how many times he crapped the bed against good teams this season but if there was any time to move on it was this offseason. i bet there was never as many starting qbs availible in one offseason ever. the greatest qb of all time slightly over the hill version was also abaioible and i dont think the cowboys had any interest so maybe they do believe dak is the man.

idk but this is weird to me unless dak is demanding way more then people believe. i do not believe this is all over one year +/-

1) Jerry knows Dak is not an elite quarterback so no need to pay his demands. That being said he was offered more than most analysts and fan base was saying he's worth

2) I personally think MM might of had a say in this. If MM was 100% sold on Dak Jerry would have made a deal in my opinion

Dak couldn’t beet the better teems last year? I thought this offence was all zeke, why did we reward him for sitting out when his numbers sucked against good teams as well? What about Dlaw? Jaylon?

I don’t understand how Dak lost all of those gaims when it was allegedly Jason Garrett that lost those gaims and has been holding this teem back for several yeers?

Seems like a lot of peeple just like to shift blame when it’s convenient or suits their argument.

I don't know what was offered or what Dak wants. I see nothing wrong with our FO not overspending on Dak. I also don't see anything wrong with Dak not settling for less than he sees as his worth. There's no bad guy here, just two sides that couldn't come together. Maybe they will after the season, and maybe they won't. If Dak leaves, hopefully we get lucky again.

This is the saddest part. Lawrence threatens to not get an operation and hurt the team. Zeke threatens to hold out and not play 3 years into a 5 year rookie deal and these two clowns get rewarded?

Dak plays nice, signs the tag and says he wont hold out and Jerry uses it against him. Just goes to show that Jerry is a bad GM. He is setting a bad precedence. Hold out if you want to get what you want. Play nice and I will use it against you.

Cowboys offered Dak 35 million for 5 years. This fact completely debunks your theory.

I disagree. I see two bad guys here. Both screwed up. Dak looks bad and Jerry looks bad.

I look at it like this. A neighbor has a hay field he wants baled. I want 1500 to do it. He can only pay 1000 and have enough money to fund other needs. If I feel my labor is worth more, I walk away. He's not a bad guy and neither am I.

LOL, as has been reported he was offerred somewhere between 33-35m with 110m guaranteed but the team didn't want to reward him? He would have been paid as a top 3 QB in this league, but the Cowboys didn't try to reward him?...he hasn't won a thing and still got that offer..he hasn't even gotten past the divisional round in the playoffs and he still got that kind of offer, he missed the playoffs 2 of the last 3 years and he still got that kind of an offer!! The Cowboys most certainly tried to reward him, it's not their fault he turned them down. IT'S HIS!!!

It hardly does. If MM wanted prescott as the future building block a deal would have got done. They already offered him elite tier money. Think they both realized Dak is only interested in a pay day at this point

I think Dak is gone after this year. It will be too cap unfriendly to tag him again in 2021.

I hope MM is the QB guru people say he is because it’s not easy to find a franchise QB.

They love Dak, but theres some truth there.

I think they believe Dak is a top 10-12 QB who wants to get paid more than any QB in the league over the next 4-5 years....including Mahomes

Nevertheless, if it was just Jerry, Dak would be signed no matter what.
But Stephen and Will Clay look much more at the whole team vs just the stars.

And then there’s McCarthy. They kind of rushed into this marriage.
Hes now had many months to fully evaluate his roster and Dak.

Just sayin

It's easy to feel your labour is worth more and walk away if you got an 1100 non refundable deposit just to negotiate your rate (aka 31.4M) but i get your point ;)
