I understand the ad hominem criticism on Bayless is valid. However, just because he was a total tool in those circumstances you prevented above does not mean he's wrong here. Thanks for the post, bud
It just means his opinion has zero credibility.

I know we don't need another Dak thread but Dak brings up some interesting points

-Dak may not have been demanding Mahommes money but it was pretty darn close

-Jerry has always been reasonable in contract negotiations and has always more or less overpaid. Prescott and the new agent was being unreasonable

-The new contract offered by Dallas would've made him the second highest paid qb with over 80 million guaranteed

-The media is currently bashing the dallas cowboys on this but how come no one is reporting what Dak's demands where. That's a very good point by Bayless

-This isn't a kirk cousins deal because Dallas did offer Dak a fair deal, unlike Washington. Dak just didn't want it

I'm left with two things here

1. Does Dak even want to play here anymore? Valid question

2. Why is Jerry the villain all of a sudden, considering in their history they have always signed the player they wanted or needed?

I like Prescott, but several of his fans have to ask themselves, are you a fan of the Dallas Cowboys or a fan of Dak Prescott because his demands are literally detrimental to the team and its success in the future.

it was close...hmmm so that must be the new math. 4 year 175 million average of 35 is equal to 10 years 503 million average of 50....

Skip is a moron. he has always been a moron. he will always remain a moron. he should work for National Enquirer and chase NFL Aliens!!!!

Funny last year Dak was his favorite player and didn’t care for Elliot.

If Dak was demanding Mahomes money, why was he trying to get the deal done directly at the deadline for a fraction of Mahomes money?

Mahomes money wasn't ever on the table, even in video games.

What kind of fraction? That's a broad brush.

That is the central question. Dak isn't being reasonable and his agent is lying to him about his open market value. Dak is a top 15 Qb. Paying him like he's right there behind Mahomes is absurd . We are better off taking our chances with Dalton and loading up the defense with cap money.

Disagree.

I’m a fan of quarterbacks who throw for almost 5k yds and 30 TDs. How about you?

Fine...where did it get us?

We got people saying Zeke's 1500 yards sucks. Those guys are haters...but .....they are right where did it get us?

Did 5000 yards win us a big game? Did we slay a true giant? Nope.....

I'm not impressed with 5000 yards and it got nothing to to do with hate. What big games did we win with 5000 yards? What really made you truly proud?

Did we have a running game to help Dak in those big games?

Skip Bayless also said Troy Aikman was gay, Tom Landry was overrated, Johnny Manziel would one day be bigger than LeBron in Cleveland, Paxton Lynch was “cant miss”....this could go on and on.

I wouldn’t believe Skip Bayless if he told me the sky was blue.
Well when you put it that way lol

I wish Dak the best of luck in the future. After this year he needs to carry his greed and his selfish attitude somewhere else.

All millionaires are greedy. So do they have a selfish attitude or just Dak?

I don't get people that look at Dak turning down $35 million for five years and assuming he wants $40 million. Maybe he just wants the four years he was asking for.

If you can’t stop zeroing In on the guy who threw for 4900 yds then you clearly have something in your head keeping you from looking at anything with a hint of objectivity.

How about I help get you started. Our defense had 4 takeaways in our 8 losses. That stat alone would cause any team to lose 8 games.

In any case, given Dak's place among NFL Qbs, it was a very fair deal. I think Dak is looking for some retro pay for the past 4 years. Its the only reason I can think he wants more. I think Todd France gave him some bad advice last year letting him play for 2 million, and he's giving Dak some self-serving advice trying to save face.
It would have been better for Dak and the Cowboys to have reached a deal last year.

well said. Yup, no way do they forgive this. This will stick in their crawl all year. They will be looking forward to the day contract talks come, just so they can send a message to Dak and his agent. LETS HOPE DAK RETHINKS THIS FAILED STRATGEY,LEARNS FROM IT,FIRES HIS AGENT. If he does, THEN maybe we can get a deal done. He must play lights out this year and make a SB run for them to want to keep him. Thats what it will take, period. ANYTHING short of that won't win them back over.
I think if Dak didn’t have his current agent he would have a deal in place right now.

Dak is acting completely different than he did 2 years ago. Seems to have a completely different mindset.
