The way heard it was that the Cowboys had made an offer that wasn't as high as it is now before the season last year. Dak's team said they wanted more. After the first 3 games when Dak and the offense looked all world...……………..Cowboys went back and said...……..Ok, we will pay you what you want. Which I believe to be the 35 million number.

But after Dak played so well those first 3 games when the Cowboys went back and agreed to their price, the agent told the Cowboys that the deal was no longer on the table and now the price has gone up. That is when the Cowboys got pissed and why we are here where we are today.

Jerry is definitely ignoring that Dak was on a 4th round rookie contract

Apparently all the brothers were raised wrong. Hunger for money and lack of being grateful for all the blessings like a career for Dakota and even tad gettin that commercial money

Entitlement mentality seems to have been instilled and I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see victim mentality as well........as I’m sure Tad will blame other nefarious reasons for the lack of a long term contract

The front office should never try to pay someone for their past performance with maybe the exception of La'el since they had to make promises of a 2nd contract to get the first. It should be about their expected performance, to do anything otherwise is how you screw up the cap.

Not so, you can know what they are capable of from past performance but you have to pay for what is expected. You do it your way and you will fail without a doubt.

This is incorrect. Dak wanted the same contract they got. A 4 year deal. The Cowboys were not willing to offer him a 4 year deal.

They got $110 and $107 million guaranteed for 4 year extensions.

The Cowboys offered Dak $110 guaranteed for a 5 year extension.

If you want him to sign for an extra year, you have to offer him more guaranteed money. Dak would have happily taken a 4 year deal with $110 guaranteed. That's what he and his agent wanted all along. In order to agree to a 5th year, the guaranteed money would've had to been closer to $125-130 million.

I see nothing wrong with the statement. What was wrong was to put it on Twitter. But it is a reasonable truth

If my brother grew up a Cowboys fan and I a Saints fan, my brother gets drafted by the Cowboys, performs at a high level with team success for the Cowboys, after a 4 year rookie deal gets franchised tagged, gets no long term deal, and goes to be a year to year QB for the Cowboys, I would go back easily to be a Saints fan.

A lot of Cowboy fans don't want Dak Prescott for obvious reasons to be the long term QB for the Cowboys. So if you became a Cowboys fan, like my then 10 year old youngest son did when the Cowboy drafted Prescott being a Cowboys Dak Prescott fan, he will go back to either the Seahawks or the Patriots as he was a Russell Wilson and Cam Newton fan before being forced with abandonment to become a Cowboys fan.

I was so glad I could watch Cowboys football games in peace with the entire house cheering for the Cowboys. As like me, my children were born and breed to be Cowboy fans. However, the now 14 year old youngest boy will drop the Cowboys like hot roach when the get rid of Dak Prescott. Dak or No Dak, I will still be posting about Jerry Dumbo GM Jones making another stupid GM decision while still being a Cowboys fan.
