Broaddus tippy toed around some info he had heard from sources around the league that Griffen is supposedly having issues in regards to partying and not partying in a good way so teams are staying away. He wouldn’t say on air exactly what he has heard but if I had to guess what he was implying it sounded like substance abuse.

Some of Dallas signings makes me think management here thinks the salary cap is just a bad rumor.

The fact they haven't even ask Crawford to take a pay cut ( although he's volunteered ) should tell you he's not going anywhere.

yep ,..and another reason why we won't be able to improve the RDE position.
..and this time we cannot blame it on Marinelli - who clearly considered Crawford a favorite.

So who evaluated and recommended Crawford not only remain with the team, but not even insist on a pay cut ?
McCarthy ? ...Jim Tomsula ? .... Mike .Nolan ?

I’d guess their last name is Jones.

so we " finally" convinced the Jones to get rid of Marinelli, ..but Crawford stays along with an astounding 9 million cap hit ?

(sigh) oh well, if it comes down to Marinelli vs Crawford, .. its a no-brainer pick for me.

I’d much prefer it be both.

Can't be pot. No way a person can get abused by overusing it. I know firsthand. I use it everyday. No problems with any kind of abuse using it. Unless laughing too much is abusive.

Aldon and Griffin would be just fine. Not sure I feel too comfortable with just Crawford and Aldon.

If Clowney can be had for 10-12 million for a year I would probably entertain that also.

Seems that our contending window just possibly shrunk from 4 years to 1 or 2 we might as well go for it.

Maybe you should look at the cap before making wild suggestions. Right now the Cowboys have 10 mil cap space. You say cut Crawford so that will take 3 mil off the available cap space and add 3 mil going to dead money. I'll do the math for you. That leaves 7 mil in cap space and you want to sign Clowney for 10-12 mil which will be 3-5 mil that the Cowboys don't have. Besides the fact that all teams keep a little on the cap if during the season they lose players to injury and need to sign some. Please leave the GM and capology jobs to those that know what they are doing.

Griffin should be here anyway.

Shortsighted front office, yet again. They botched WR in 2018 overestimating what they had coming back from injury, etc. They are doing it again at RDE thinking a DT in Crawford, a guy who hasn't played a NFL snap since 2015 and a guy who hasn't been reinstated and hasn't played a game since 2018 is going to just magically solve that issue.

You have your years and players completely confused. Crawford missed 11 games last year with an injury but played in 15 games in 2018 and all 16 in 2017. Gregory played in 14 games in 2018.

Gregory or not...are we that tight up against the cap where we can’t sign Griffin??

He’d be an amazing add. Granted, he’d be a good add for a lot of contending teams.

If Dak wasn't 15% of the cap they could have. I think Dallas has around 10 mil in space and they still have to sign rookies. I also think they might want to roll over what little cap space they'll have to next year for obvious reasons.

Practice what you preach.

Your 'numbers' are completely wrong - once again.

No he doesn't, once again it is you who is confused.

He's referring to the three 'options' the Cowboys appear to be counting on.

Aldon Smith is the guy that hasn't played since 2015, and Gregory hasn't played since the playoff game in 2018.

If you don't know anything, don't say anything.

Crawford is dirt cheap and is one of those blue chip players that never complains and just does his job. Sure he has had a few injuries but he is inexpensive. Why all the hate?

I think it's 100% MM call......typically as you probably know, the only reason front office fight for a player is how his contract negatively impacts the cap. We know that's not the case with Crawford.
