That has zero to do with France and is typical Stephen and Jerry Jones. They reach out the player direct and say this is what we are offering but making no progress.

It's how they signed DLaw and others.

If France isn’t able to negotiate a deal his client is paying him for, it has EVERYTHING to do with him.
And if “typical Stephen and Jerry Jones” is going around agents, they’re in violation of league rules.

But yet you liked this post earlier in the thread.

"So, Dak clearly doesn't want to burn the bridge, but he hired a bridge burner?
Is he just dumb then?"

So I dont really know where you stand if you dont even know.
What does one have to do with the other? I don't see how Dak could not have known what he was getting when he hired France and considering everything am having a hard time understanding the logic of him doing so. Is that so hard to comprehend?

I don’t think Dak did much research on france. The way he operates it’s no wonder they use words like bridge burner contracts. Dak just saw that he gets you the most money. Now he realizes if he wants to stay and be A Cowboy and not burn a bridge he had to do frances job for him. Dak had to work with SJ and JJ himself to get anywhere. And guess what, he got a good offer he wanted. And france sits on his butt and does nothing. I think france burned his bridge with SJ and JJ when he pulled the plug on the agreed to deal after week 3 last year.

They do it quite a lot and it comes out quite publicly when players retell how the deals happened... yet they are never punished.

Todd France has made good moves for all his clients thus far.
Not signing was the best bet given the best offer Dallas made.

Bob' article details why.
Dallas wanted to come in below Goff money and that was their mindset even though Dak has been better through 4 years and made 25M less on the rookie deal plus Goff got an early extension long ago.
Dallas were the greedy ones here. Not France and not Dak.

SJ called france and asked if he could call Dak. And if Dak is the one that calls them then it violates nothing. Dak just learned a lesson.

I'm not pointing the finger at any one individual party or side.

The actions and inactions of ALL sides got us here.

That is on Stephen Jones. He should have extended Dak BEFORE the season.
Once they didn't both sides can pull out of any agreement until it is signed.
Stephen knew the offensive firepower they were accumulating and the passing stats by Dak were career bests weekly so France would have been an idiot not to want more money after putting up 400 yard passing days.

I understand he can do that. It’s not the way I personally operate but I know. I think they had the gentlemen’s handshake deal and france stepped on it and SJ went radio silent. He knows he could tag him. Now that Dak has had a taste of it, I think it will get done next year. Don’t be shocked if france is fired or when SJ has him on the phone they talked about offers for next year since the rate goes up.

Holy Larry, no it wasn't. Dallas's offer was fair and stellar.

Man, that's some real twisting going on to come up w/ that!!!

It's like there's something wrong w/ your logic.

They TRIED to extend Dak. Dak turned it down. Sooooooooooooooo, what exactly would you have them do?

Once I hear an actual fair offer to Dak I'll agree but until then, nope.
DAL offer was low at every point and even as it rose it stayed behind reality by 6 months.
No sane business person would have NOT extended Dak. None.
The cost next year is GOING up to 37.7M regardless of cap changes.

As I said, I don't absolve the Joneses of blame. Nor do I absolve Dak and France of theirs.

Every one of them got us to this point.

35 a year, which is wilson (a SB winning QB) yearly average. Over 110 million guaranteed which is goff (a QB that’s been to the SB) guaranteed money. I think that’s more than fair for a QB that’s yet to make a championship game. And I am a fan of Dak. The last offer was that and a 50 million dollar signing bonus. He accepted and wanted it. Time ran out because france was dragging his feet. Dak had to deal directly with SJ and JJ. His agent has cost him.

He plays for 31 this year. Could have had a check for 50 million and likely made another 5 or 10 in salary this year. But hey france gets his 1 million dollar check for doing nothing.

I would place the least amount of blame on the agent...if any. The player gets to decide on the agent. It was not as if France was an unknown commodity. Dak chose him for a reason...and he could’ve replaced him long ago if things weren’t going the way he liked.
